Moved to Wixom November 2019. This is closest Kroger to me. I have seen the decline of a poorly run business only get worse. With the exception of a very few kind older women, the staff here is horrific. Horribly unprofessional. Cashier sitting and sleeping at the checkout line. NO JOKE. Very abrupt and rude. Store is always a mess. Smells like weed. Staff is in parking lot making drug deals and smoking. Sex acts in cars. Have seen many drug deals in parking lot by the way when cars aren't being broken into. Many parked cars for days with "residents" sleeping in them. Been insulted on more than one occasion by cackling young girl mentioning that I was too old to ask for I.D. Just recently, the large, bearded clown they now have working self-checkout came to me to verify ID for alcohol. Took it to his little podium to remove security device and left it there. Left to do other things and assist others. I waited. Asked him " hey buddy am I good to go?" Looks at me with look of disgust and says loudly "YEAH." I replied, thanks for bringing it back to me, guess I'll get it from your "secure" podium and leave. Just yesterday evening, store was very slow, I went through an actual line because the bearded creep was there yet again. The goof at the register rang me up and then looked at me asking "do you need help bagging?" There was nobody else behind me waiting. Another lady working there had left bagging when I walked up to ring up just one customer on lane next to me. I said "sure I can take care of this myself I guess since my bagger left and you are just going to stare, I can of course handle what is actually your job." What am I missing in the store? Food is always expired, and I have never been in a place of business with worse customer service. Management is miserable. I have addressed these issues with another bearded smug creep at customer service many times. Zero personality and assistance. Highly do not recommend this store when there are many others. I will drive. Other reviews mention the lack of staff and wait times. Although that may be true at times, that doesn't bother me, I'd rather do self-checkout and am very patient. Get real management and staff that are of some assistance. Not sloppy unprofessional...
Read moreI've had good and bad experiences here I've had times that mad me cry mad and cry happy literally I've met old timers in the store who just wanted to talk and rude women who would ram you with their cart none of that has to do with Kroger neither does a heat wave closing the store reading the reviews I've rolled my eyes almost out of my head the store wasn't open yet so you have them a bad review today I almost walked into the locked door I was like I'm a da then walked to the other door they do this at almost every single store and it's not a safety hazard it's actually a safety protocol when their aren't enough people yet working so you crazies are all in one spot cause theirs not 15 workers waiting to chase around your life problems you take out on the store . I recently got a bad watermelon they replaced it right away no questions asked that has to do with Kroger and the staff that's something to leave a review about not natural literal disaster causing closure .. grow up people that's so unfair and rachet . The employees are stand offish cause they been attacked back to back to back since covid and all the bad food they work in the store still when half the population changed to working remote it's also not Kroger's fault if their are no good people to hire that's y'all's mothers and fathers fault you want available nice cashier's make better children don't teach them these horrible behaviors and boom...
Read more7/7/22 Update: Again absolutely the worst Kroger's I have ever been to. Have lived in Wixon for 9 years and they have never changed. Walked today to Kroger's to return cans. Two of the four can returns were full. Went to the second can return which was free. Started to put my cans in, got half way through and they wouldn't except any more can. The return wasn't full just wouldn't take my cans, which has been a big problem in the past. The person next to me had a full basket of cans, if I had waited it may be a half hour or so, and would it take mine. All my can were national know products. So I had to take the rest back home. A 60 yr/old women walking almost a mile to Kroger to find out they wouldn't accept name brand bottle return. Again THE WORST KROGER EVER. The absolute worst krogers I have been too in my 58 years on this earth...have lived in wixom for 8 yrs now ... always out of stuff...no cashier's available...wait 5 - 10 mins to get help.at the self check out...if I drove, you can bet Meijer would get my business...11/20/20...still the worst Kroger's ever...the recycling center will hardly take Pepsi can...stood for a hour trying to put Pepsi cans into the recycling center...to only get barely$5.00...6/15/21...all recycling bins full ...no one bothering to empty any of them...6:50 PM...still a hour to return cans...again...THE ABSOLUTELY WORST...
