After lunch, I decided that I was in NEED of something sweet to eat. As I did a quick search in my current location, I found this wonderful gem. Since it is a food truck, I am always hesitant about whether or not it will be present when I get there. I decided to take a chance, and I am very glad that I did!
On Sundays, they seemed to be station at a mini food truck meet up spot! You can find sangria, tacos, ceviche and even birria! As I approached the truck, you can see them cooking freshly fried churros ready for everyone to eat! Ordered 6 churros with all the toppings! Had to go all in! Since I was sharing with a friend who did not want to go all in, we asked them to split the order, which they happily obliged with!
Let me just say that fresh churros are simply out of this world. It was hot, fresh, crispy and soft where it needed to be! It was simply divine! The regular churro was good, but I think you have to get it with all the trimmings! My intention was to eat one, maybe two. Then found myself with an empty box wanting more! I was even tempted to go across the street to McDonalds just so that I could top it with some vanilla ice cream!
Amazing little find, will definitely look forward to eating these delicious churros again...
Read moreIt's just like the churros you can buy while waiting in line for hours to reenter the United States, only this time it's not stale.
Small little truck that serves up cheap but tasty churros. You can get either plain churros of churros cajeta fresa y lechera (caramel, strawberry, and condensed milk drizzle). Get the drizzle, it's DELICIOUS. For those of you expecting churros like the ones that you get from Costco or any amusement park, you're in for quite a treat. The outside has a nice crisp with a good dusting of cinnamon sugar, the inside is soft and moist, and the drizzle makes them even more flavorful. We also got 100 churros for only $35; damn good deal. They also sell fried plantains.
Just a heads up, if you use Android Google Maps weirdly navigates you a few miles east of where the actual location is. They park outside the plaza that has Wells Fargo, El Super, and Target. Plenty of parking in the plaza.

Whenever I see perfect five star reviews I get skeptical and my expectations go through the roof. Churros Don Abel was the only churros joint with five stars so I had to pay them a visit
Minimal wait. There were two in front of me. I waited less than 3 minutes. There are several options. The ones that caught my eye were do you want best bang for the buck but don't want to commit to too much churros then the $5 for 10 is the way to go. I went with the 6 for $5 with three drizzles. We were given 7 churros so I'm not complaining. The drizzles were caramel, strawberry and condensed milk (?).
These churros are dangerous. I was so tempted to buy another half dozen. Highly recommend Churros Don Abel and I'll...
