Very rude and smart mouth (blonde woman with glasses). Treated my 18 year old daughter that is new to getting tags for her first car as if she was stupid and had attitude with her when she got confused about the process. Even snapped at a lady that was behind my daughter in line. Bad first time experience for her. We will never come back here. Harrisburg is much better and every time I’ve been there, they are always friendly. I recommend anywhere but here.
My response after the owner:
Most people of the city of Concord know how disrespectful and rude your clerks are at this DMV. Unfortunately they just don’t leave reviews. I do not leave bad reviews unless provoked. I never said that there was a conversation with the lady behind my daughter. I said the clerk snapped at the woman. My daughter felt sorry for her when she came back to get in line (I spoke to my daughter about that, and it was actually a different clerk that snapped at the lady.) I understand you want to defend your clerk to the end but I’m going to defend my 18 year old daughter to the end. I never thought sending her to the Concord DMV would be such a fiasco. Also I never said anything negative about my daughters confusion about the plate..that was her fault so I’m not sure why you felt the need to write such a lengthy response. It doesn’t make it better. One last thing, your apology doesn’t mean anything with a bunch of “buts” behind it. Excuses..excuses..and...
Read moreThere was a bit of a line when I arrived (after going to Huntersville and their license plate section was closed for the day). But once the line started moving we got in pretty quickly (was there for an hour in total). I had the pleasure of working with Leigh, she was very pleasant and she went above and beyond for me. I had a second transaction that I wanted to do but was missing the VIN number to my other vehicle (I didn't bring this information with me since the 800 NC DMV Customer Service rep told me I needed to pick up a form, fill it out and fax to my loan holder... NOT that this form is filled out by the DMV and faxed by them so there is no form you pick up). But since this was needed for her to fax the form, Leigh gave me a number to contact her directly once I got home to provide the VIN number to her and she even gave me a confirmation of the fax being sent. Now THAT'S what I call Customer Service!!!! You do not come across people like her very often now a days, so I really appreciate her ability to go above and beyond for...
Read moreGot there 45 minutes before they open. There was already a decent size line. Of course they don’t open their doors until the second the clock strikes 9am, which is to be expected. Waited about 10 more minutes after they opened as they were working efficiently despite the mess our world is currently in. I was there to register a vehicle my girlfriend and I just bought. According to NCDMV.gov, I would be able to pay the fees and collect a tag with the title signed by the both of us, the seller, and notary.. along with a copy of her drivers license OR power of attorney signature. Apparently the .GOV website has no authority and they just put whatever they want up there. They lady nicely told me that my girlfriend needed to be present or I need power of attorney and that the website is wrong. Still sucks that I spent over an hour there just to get no where, and now have to go back because somebody can’t get their facts straight. I wouldn’t expect anything more from the NC...
