TuxedoKat: An Imaginarium — Local services in Concord

I commissioned Kat for two custom art pieces. One was a table that I wanted to be a conversation piece, a piece that had bright and positive colors and could be a table where guests could get lost in thought while gazing at it. The other was some kind of artwork to cover the backside of my office desk so I could face out into my studio. I gave Kat free rein on this design as long as it fit the dimensions of my desk. This piece received so many compliments and was in my brand colors and eye catching. For years, Kat has been a community art leader both here in Charlotte and now in Cabarrus County. I’ve had the pleasure of multiple puddle painting sessions with TuxedoKat over the years, but this one was extra special. We measured out our space and had a custom canvas built by Allegro, another local Concord business, and brought it to TuxedoKat for a couples painting experience. Her and David were fantastic hosts. We did a collection of practice pours before hitting our main canvas, and she guided us through a variety of different techniques that we could use. Her professionalism is top notch, and they were so much fun to spend time with during our session. She then provided the space for the paint to cure and she finished the piece with a gloss coating, ensuring it will have a long life hanging in our home. I love this place!!! Kat is a wiz at holding space to allow my creativity to flow! She walked me through techniques that were loose enough so that I felt free to play. Her lighthearted nature combines with her intelligence in a magical way!
