The RAC store manager has a bad attitude. Owes us $100 for a computer that still had someone else’s information and had passwords that prevented us from using it at all. It was returned about an hour after purchasing. We were told the next day to show up at 10:30am which was this morning and upon arrival she was already in a bad mood and questioned why I was there. I told her I was there for see what other options we had. Which didnt seemed like she wasn’t interested in trying to work with us. Then tried to sell us a MAC and when I asked her about honoring the price we had agreed on the previous computer that we were unable to use the first time she said no because the Mac was brand new which I told her the man from the night before informed us that all Mac’s are refurbished. She said no they were not which I brought up on the website which states the Mac she was trying to sell me was refurbished. And she acted like she didn’t have any clue about what I was talking about. She called the other location in Conroe to find one in my price range. I asked her if it was also refurbished and she said it’s in the box. So I asked her if it has had a previous owner she she stated again it was in the box. During this time she tried to blame my husband for ruining the keyboard after we purchased it but at this point “didn’t matter because it’s not available anymore” but just wanted to make us aware of it. When I called my husband right when she said that he said when he was trying to set it up he noticed that the back of the keyboard felt greasy where the batteries went but didn’t think anything of it and switched out the old batteries and replaced it with new ones that we had at home. I just came to a decision to get a refund and she said she didn’t have cash and that she would call me when she had the money. It is now 5:45pm the same day and she had not called. I called at 5:30 twice and no answer. They owe us $100. And which I was informed at another business that they could have been sued by whoever had the computer before we purchased it because their information was still in the computer and they did not follow the proper protocol to completely erase everything from the computer before being resold. We unfortunately have been out of town (last 3 weeks) and do not have service all the time and have been late on our last 2 payments. She contacted us and threatened to say she was going to call corporate and say we stole the merchandise even though I told her I can make a payment immediately when I return in 72 hours. She stated that her truck guy believes he saw my husband and mistook him for my brother in law. And asked me to allow my 17 year old brother in law and 15 year old daughter to let them in my house while I’m not there. She denied accepting my payment and stated she would cancel my contract - which is fine IF that’s what needs to be done, but I asked if all this could take place once we return in 72 hours. She stated NO and then told me that my husband and I need to have some be at our home to come pick up the equipment. My daughter called for the second time to let me know that they were leaving their guy to sit infront of our house until we paid. So my husband called again to say “we will have someone” to be at our house. This is harassment- you don’t want our payment and you don’t want to come pick it up when a legal adult will be there. I’ve worked in customer service for 10 years and wouldn’t even treat my worst customers the way Rene treats Y’all’s customers. The fact that she is still a manager here clearly shows that y’all don’t care about your customers with as many bad reviews as she’s been given. She’s extremely disrespectful, she lies about peoples accounts, she switches payment dates without consent and then harasses you and threatens to have people show up at your door to get the items. When asked for Corporate or her supervisors number she just refuses to give it and hangs up on you or threatens to call the cops. She calls family members multiple times as well and does what I’m sure is many illegal things. There is no reason to call anyone’s phone 6+ times in one day and continue after hours.
