I write a lot of reviews and most are positive even though the product or service is not to 100 % satisfaction as I think it's important to lift up and support local businesses.
Recently however, there was a situation where my Wife brought in a ring for a simple buildup of the prongs that secure the stone. On the paperwork the scope of work stated as such.
When the ring was ready for pickup my Wife arrived and was only then informed the buildup did not happen as expected. Instead, for whatever reason the prongs were completely cut off. (A phone call would have been nice!)
Despite this, my Wife paid the amount and left. Later when looking more closely, lines or seams on the outside of the prongs could be seen with the eye. When looking through a loupe, it was observed the newly replaced prongs were not fully fused all the way through and there were separations on the insides of the prongs. Further, the stone was now placed crooked within the setting.
We decided to go back to Daniel & Co. (Conroe, TX.) and see if the "build up turned repair work" could be corrected. after all, we've had previous work from Daniel & Co. and were quite happy. This time was different!!
VERY IMPORTANT to any product or service is whether or not the merchant listens to the Client. Upon return, my Wife and I were both there.
We were expecting the employee who rang us in to completely listen to what we had to say and even ask the jeweler to come forward to see what we had to say? Before my Wife could fully express, the young lady said "no problem, we will fix while you wait" and abruptly walked away and met with the Jeweler.
The Jeweler was closely within sight and could hear us say WAIT, you did not hear what we had to say. And why we were bringing the ring back? Could you please ask the Jeweler to come forward to meet with us?
2-3 times we asked and this did not happen? We even asked the Jeweler directly to please please come and speak with us about our concerns?
Only being aware of the visible lines on the outside of the ring and clearly not aware of all our other concerns, the Jeweler began to grind the lines on the outside of the ring??!!
Was this an attempt to fix? How could this fix the cracks on the inside of the prongs or even fix the crooked stone? Within a few feet from the Jeweler, he could hear us repeatedly asking him to please stop, get up out of your chair and please take a moment to talk with us about our concerns.
My Wife and I were beside ourselves in disbelief!
In the end, my Wife had to ask repeatedly asked the Jeweler to please give us the ring back! Finally the handed it over.
We did not ask for our money back and after this experience we will NEVER give Daniel & Co. any more of our business. let alone the opportunity to correct what was wrong in the first place.
Things could have been different if only they...
Read moreI am so extremely disappointed in the service they provided. I brought a Tiffanys bracelet in to have the clasp fixed. When I picked up the bracelet, I noticed that the Tiffany's heart was shattered. The jeweler admitted to breaking it and the salesperson said that they would order a new heart and fix the bracelet. A couple weeks later the salesperson called to say that they were backordered however because it was their mistake, they would instead replace the entire bracelet. I came back into the Conroe store and she presented me with a new bracelet and gave me my broken bracelet back. A few months later I took the bracelet to Tiffany's to have it shortened. I then received a call from Tiffany's in NY stating that the bracelet was NOT REAL. They asked if I by chance had the receipt. I told them no, but I would go back to Daniel & Co and ask for it. I did just that. The gentleman who states that he runs all of the Daniel & Co stores stated that they do not keep detailed records of service. That the girl who handled this is no longer there and that they would have never replaced the bracelet. Basically, called me a liar. The only thing he could show me was that there was a no charge receipt for my repair. Hard to believe that there are no records of phone calls to the customer, comments on the repair, follow up details, etc. Poor record keeping and definitely not a reputable company. Stay far away from...
Read moreI had such a great experience with Edward, the jewelry salesman, and I felt like I had to share. From the second I walked in, he made everything so easy and relaxed. No pressure, just genuine help. He listened to what I was looking for, asked the right questions, and helped me find exactly what I needed.
What really stood out was how knowledgeable he was. He didn’t just push a sale—he actually took the time to explain things like the difference in stones, the craftsmanship, and why some pieces were priced higher than others. It made me feel like I was making an informed decision.
Edward also made sure I was completely happy with my choice, offering tips on how to care for the piece and even checking in a few days later to see if everything was good. It’s clear he cares about his customers beyond just making a sale.
If you’re in the market for jewelry, definitely ask for Edward. He made the whole experience way less stressful, and I walked out feeling really good about...
