I have severe carrot allergy and this Chinese place use to be my go to. They always took my order serious. I noted my carrot allergy on the order and they instead mixed my fried rice in the container with the other fried rice sides — hey it happens. I saw the carrots and called hoping to get it resolved. No big deal. Just hoping some good customer service. Whoever answered the phone said “Tell me what you think is incorrect and I’ll tell you why we did it— must be your first time ordering from us. We always mix the rice sides”. That wasn’t the point. Point was I’m allergic to carrots. I proceeded to explain and the lady wouldn’t accept that I ordered plain fried rice and their mistake. I selected 3 fried rice sides, ONE without carrots. Instead they gave me 1 container for all the sides, instead of 3 side rices for each order. They couldn’t refund me either and I had to call the online website. Which wasn’t open and hasn’t answered me. Since it was $.50 I let it go. But would have expected some fried rice on the house or something. I never take time to review but given food allergies and how they couldnt help me, I...
Read moreI have lived in the UK, Germany, and the U.S., and I have had great food all over the world, so I do not say this lightly. The food here is outstanding, even by international standards. The chef clearly knows what he’s doing and puts real skill into every dish. If you are in the Conroe area, you will not find better Chinese food. They also offer excellent vegetarian and vegan options. Most dishes can be made vegan just by swapping the meat for tofu (even though the app does not let you click tofu on many, just ask for it to be substituted in the special requests section), and they do a great job with it. The tofu is breaded and fried perfectly for applicable dishes. Something a lot of places get wrong. Every part of the meal is prepared with care...
Read moreWalked in with no expectations whatsoever. The food was surprisingly pretty good. My lunch was hot and fresh. The egg roll was a little greasy but otherwise not bad at all. Sweet and sour chicken was great. Egg drop soup was also good. The service was good as well. No issues there. The only thing kinda odd was walking in there’s a bar area that is dark and looks abandoned. Would have preferred to sit at that bar for lunch had it be open. Not sure they use it even for dinner. Looked like it hasn’t been used in a while. Very inexpensive less than 12$ for a good very large portioned meal. Overall it was a pretty good lunch. I will probably come back...
