Wanted to start coming to Kroger because I was struggling to find things at HEB all the time. Haha, I would spend forever walking around the store looking for things like Velveeta cheese. (And many other things, especially around Christmas buying common Christmas and Thanksgiving dinner staples. So hard to find things at HEB!). So anyway I stopped by Kroger to pick somethings up for Christmas again and really appreciated that they had all of the common staples you would need for Christmas altogether in the back in one easy place to find. So I decided I was going to shop at Kroger more often instead of HEB. So today, I stop at kroger to pick up some quick items for dinner. I grabbed some chicken and sour cream and several other things and decided i was going time make some chicken tortilla soup for dinner. Well I get to self check out and start scanning and notice there was a mark down tag on the sour cream. OK, no big deal, what's the date? Well its expired. So then I gave it back to the lady instead of buying. I decided that since I had also grabbed some ravioli, I would make that for dinner instead. Well I get home and start cooking the ground beef and in packing everything else and then I see that the ravioli is expired too! At first, I almost considered making it anyway, BC it was just about 4 days past the date and I thought perhaps it would be fine. Well since I still had some time before I needed to start the pasta, I decided to put some cottage cheese in containers for my husband's and my lunch at work. Well i opened the brand new container of cottage cheese and there is this huge brown loogy -looking slime on top. GUESS WHAT. That expired in OCT 2019! What the heck is going on! Now I'm for sure bringing back the ravioli. You have got to be kidding. Let me just go make another trip back to the store and also, thanks for ruining my dinner plans twice in the same night+plus my lunch snacks. Haha, I know I sound dramatic. But seriously dont feel like i should have to bring a magnifying glass with me to go grocery shopping in order to make sure i'm not accidentally buying moldy, slimy food. Back to heb, I go. Just need a treasure map to shop there, but at least I can eat the things...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis location needs to seriously be revamped coming from the home office in Cincinnati, I would say, if you look at every other review for the last 3 months and if you have had the experience I have had tonight of having them close before their posted time of 11PM. Now this is not an issue with me much of going into a store within the last 5 minutes of when they close, but 11 o'clock does mean that you don't shut the door and or turn the customer away even if it is 50 seconds past 10:59. Pretty much any other store that cares about customer service abides by this concept. Yes, I can understand as an associate that you have to inform a customer than you close in how many ever minutes, and I as the customer gladly could have gladly informed the associate tonight that I am going to get one item (in this cage free range eggs, since the Walmart across the bridge has not started carrying them yet) and be out of there ASAP. Simply put the big ole guy the front could not even say anything but we're closed even though I reminded him that it was 10:59. This associate made sure to take up enough time with saying "we closed" enough times and shutting the door and hiding behind it so that time would land on 11:00 soon. Now, unless I see a change in this store soon, I am definitely going to not be shopping at this location if I can help it (not easy since this location is the closest to my route home); but, If I or anyone else does manage to land there late at night, then what we need to do is to make sure to shop past 11 as much as we can run them as late as possible closing and getting out of there. Those who run this location need as much difficulty as can be made for them until they learn that the store is not closed until 11, not a second sooner, and that you should expect a few customers in the store at least a few minutes after 11. That is part of quality customer service, which this location seems to currently be failing at, which is more important than your closing down and getting out of the store just to go home a few minutes early. I am also going to make sure (if they are not reading this review) that the home office understands this bad customer service...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhile shopping there earlier today, I came across what I believe to be one of the managers by the name of Erick. I ask him where something was located in the store and he never looked at me & just mumbled under his breath 4! Not hello, how are you? Let me help you find what youāre looking for. I didnāt understand What 4 Was or if he was even communicating with me
He made me feel like I was getting on his nerves by asking him or something was in the store that he is employed at.
After he mumbled 4 I didnāt understand what he was saying by just saying 4 ? Like how is that answering someoneās question just by saying 4? I do believe that he felt that he was unprofessional when he said it because when I looked up again, he was at the end of the aisle where I was at looking at me like oh no I think I shouldāve said that that way well it was too late Eric think before you talk. so I ask him were you trying to say aisle number 4 and he just nodded his head again, like I was getting on his nerve well this is my location that I shop at because I my office is in this area and itās very convenient for me, but after experiencing the unprofessionalism that I received from Eric (Supposedly a manager )today, Iām not sure if Iāll be visiting this location again because if youāre a manager, you should have more professionalism about yourself than that anyway, I would hate to see who heās training He would not make a good role model for a new employee! I believe he was more interested in fixing the endcap that he had been working on when I approached him and I believe thatās why he was already frustrated because he couldnāt do it! We are customers and we deserve to be treated professionally. Iāve never been treated this way inside of this Krogerās and I donāt expect to be treated like that way again.. If I could give him a zero for stars, I would thatās how bad the customer service was horrible customer service by supposedly a manager by the...
