I always spend more time and money then I plan to whenever I go to Michael's Craft stores. They have great sales , they have fantastic inventory, amazing coupons for members,, but the variety of "projects" for one to learn, join others and try Are tenfold. Knitting, painting, building work stations, arranging flowers, costume making, jewelry making, greeting card making, party organizing and supplying and more.. Yes, I love just going in there and like a library, browsing and considering where my time is best invested. I have one complaint and that is check out time. Usually I have already stayed too long and my arms are over flowing with too many bundles of 2 for 1 this, or 30% off that...and I get to the front tired and late for home , only to be 10th or 12th in line to pay. If there is only 1 cashier I really get distraught. Sometimes they quickly call up a 2nd cashier and the wait time is closer to 15 minutes rather than my estimated 30 minutes which I REFUSE to wait in line that long to pay and I have been known to vacate my would be purchases to a nearby employee or manager informing them why And leaving an unsatisfied customer. I do return but I never buy the same things I was prepared to buy before. I just think , especially during the pandemic, how cashiers need to be fortified on the payroll schedule. Don't make a customer frustrated over standing in line to give you more money then we intended to spend. ...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSuper unorganized, and the bathroom smells like urine. As soon as I walked in, I thought someone had just peed all over the walls and floors because the smell was so strong. The walls did look dirty and definitely need cleaning. The overall store was very unorganized with missing labels, items in the wrong places, and the brushes were a complete mess.
I came to get about six brushes, which I had originally picked out at Hobby Lobby, but they didnāt have the sale on the ones I wanted. I decided to come here instead because they were buy one, get one 50% off, and it seemed worth it with how many I was getting. I regret coming here because I could have just purchased them at Hobby Lobby and been done with it. At least those were organized. At Michaelās, what should have taken me five minutes to pick out ended up taking over 20 minutes because only one out of all six was in the right place.
On top of that, the signs for the different types of paint each brush was meant for were either wrong or just sitting on the shelf next to where they actually belonged.
The only reason I am giving 3 stars instead of 2 is that the cashier was sweet and professional, even though she looked stressed since it was 9:02 when I checked out and they close at 9 p.m.
My advice: definitely do a deep cleaning of that bathroom because it really needs it and make sure staff are given the support and time they need to keep...

I placed an order online for curbside pick up, I was right around the corner so I dropped in. Then went back to see if my order was available... went to the frame section and saw my item... it was not 50% like online. So I asked the guy working that section restocking frames... he acted like my questions and inquiries were an inconvenience. When I asked about the price difference he ignored me. So then I went to the front to ask the clerk... if I could get my order pulled or acknowledge the discount I have from online order... she said no but you can purchase it at this price and then we will rerun you in a few days for your online order... then she asked a manager over her ear piece and apparently said the same thing..... 𤨠Ummmm hello. So buy at higher prices than YOUR online offer ? She said they donāt price match themselves ?!?? uhhhh what?!?! I loved Michaels but after this I will pay a little more at sweet Hobby Lobby on Amazon! So, Guy in frames that canāt be bothered to help... and girl that doesnāt even speak in common sense... maybe you should NOT have a job working with people who are consumers who use...
