My first job when I was 15 back in 1989 was a bagger at Caledesi Island Publix and today Mr Jenkins who started Publix after leaving Piggly Wiggly would be sad to know of the corporate misconduct Publix has become towards its native patrons , I constantly undergo disappointment with Publix staffing, I spend anywhere from 350 to 500 dollars a week at Publix, they have discontinued the Deli smoked chicken and etc. of lack of and now they are also refusing to give me a role of ten dollars in quarters to purchase and refill my water jugs at there water stations , I constantly undergo better than attitudes from their outta state raised employees, so to all you corporate foreigners Publix was founded on southern hospitality not your city folk better than attitudes leave that up North ... Yours truly a Florida Native since 1974 back when this land was dirt roads and two lanes leading to clean beautiful beaches and a happy place filled with Southern Hospitality and bad attitudes and litter bugs weren't welcomed by us Natives and even our sheriff's departments wouldn't have protected your shanigans you Yankees all...
Read moreThis modern shopping center contains a Publix Super Market, Petco, Micheals, Party City, GameStop, GNC, Bed Bath and Beyond, Bath and Body Works, Pier One, Kirkland's, Bealls, two hair salons, a breakfast restaurant (KeKe's), a chinese takeout (Green Tea), a deli (Crispers), Firehouse Subs, and various other shops.
Also on the grounds is a sea food restaurant (Black Molly), a Sonic, an Arby's, Panera Bread, a large liquor store (Broudys), a Japanese steak house (Yamato), and a Goodyear Auto Service Center.
There is a large parking lot with ample disabled parking available. However, the Publix is normally very crowded, so parking and congestion in this area can be a problem.

Read moreThis shopping center houses more than 35 shops and restaurants. The buildings appear to be well- maintained as do the parking lots. I'm most often at Bed, Bath & Beyond, Michael's, Publix, and Keke's though I shop and eat at other establishments.
Update September 2023 - All appears to be the same but I miss Bed, Bath & Beyond. Didn't shop today, just ate at Keke's. Excellent as always!
Just went to Keke's for a small group lunch. Didn't visit other businesses, but the shopping center is about the same. Parking lot is well cared for, and businesses all appear to be, too.
