I want to acknowledge that I've never had an issue picking up an order from this particular location. Until today. I came in to pick up an order only to be met with the most disrespectful human beings that I've ever met at a restaurant. I asked the guy behind the counter at the food prepping area about my order since I've been waiting on it for some time, and it was only a Mediterranean sandwich only to be told " Ask the cashier." Even though he's working in the food prep area. He would've been more of an help than someone at the register, but I digress. As I went and set back down and continued to wait on the order. I overheard him saying in the lines of "We need to put up a sign directing delivery drivers to cashiers." In other words, he didn't feel the need to be bothered by a delivery driver. However, moments later, the cashier handed me what I believed to be the order. I left the store and proceeded with the delivery. Only to realize she still handed me the incorrect order upon my arrival to my delivery location. Even though I repeatedly gave her the name to my order. Complete carelessness on her part. A bit incompetent. I quickly returned to the store. I immediately handed back over the order. The manager was present this time with the cashier. I took the opportunity to let the manager know that I over heard her employees' comments about delivery drivers. She looked at me with a stone cold look of total disregard and complete carelessness. She told me "okay" I said, so nothing will be done? And she just shrugged her shoulders and said, "There's nothing to be done." I said I am a customer, and no one should ever be treated like how the guy treated me earlier. She told me, " You are not a customer!" How so if I'm picking up food from your establishment!! What kind of manager says that to anyone walking into their place of business picking up food. Whether I'm a delivery driver or someone purchasing food and picking it up.I'm still picking up food from your establishment. She proceeded to tell me to "get out of my store." I pulled out my phone and recorded this RACIST... MEAN SPIRITED of a manager... this behavior is obviously allowed because look at who's running this location. The cashier was rude.. the guy prepping the food was rude and also the manager. I have this on camera !!! You have been reported. I will not recommend this location. They are not welcoming to delivery drivers. They obviously look down on us and do not see us as "customers," as the manager told me. Even though we are contributing to this business by helping to expand their delivery radius, which in the end is helping to keep the business flowing. I can't help that I am not of European descent. None of us can. So, the hatred for others that you don't identify with is sickening and shouldn't be allowed. PANERA BREAD, PLEASE...
Read moreI've been a Sip Club member since the summer promotion Panera Bread ran one year ago. I always enjoy getting a large green tea via the drive-thru when I see a Panera Bread in my travels! Definitely a nice perk how one large drink per day is on Panera for me to enjoy as a member--of course this comes with a monthly fee. I hardly ever go inside, but this day I was craving a broccoli and cheese soup nestled inside one of their bread bowls!
We walked in and it was so very quiet and serene, almost like a library--except really no guests but us seemed to be around. We had the whole dining room of seats to choose from!
The bread bowls we ordered with soup were satisfying comfort food. If I had a wish, it would be that the side which comes with the bread bowl is not automatically another piece of bread. If I were alerted that there were another choice like chips or fruit, I most certainly would have chosen either of those rather than another hearty piece of bread aside from the sourdough my soup already came in (plus the sourdough lid cut from it, too).
I love to spread joy, mostly, with my reviews so I am a bit reluctant to admit... The employee that took our order did not seem very enthusiastic to have us in, overall. Perhaps it was because she was concentrating on entering my phone number correctly for the Sip Club. It took several times for me to say my number slowly, and, no big deal on that--we're all human! Once it was all well and good I was hoping to see a little more friendly receptivity from the young woman helping us. I decided on a drink and we ordered our food quickly, then. We were glad to have our order placed and to choose a nice, well-lit booth in the dining room. The extra bread on our plates came as a total surprise bonus!
The soup and bread bowl tasted great! The extra bread did go to waste, though, and after leaving Panera I wished I had wrapped it up to give it to someone hungry and in need, instead--who coincidentally are often seen at the corner where the light is coming out of Cobblestone Village very near to this location. Next time I will keep this idea in consideration if there is no other choice of side for our future bread bowls.
Panera Bread seems like a great place to read or study on a Sunday around 5pm in late June according to this experience!...
Read moreAs a community guide I was issued a no trespassing order for attempting to photograph the stock, seating arrangements & menu.
The following happened: I arrived outside to take a nice photo of the entrance and patio (which I will publish) then I walked in and asked someone on the back of the line if I could take photos of the inventory, a possible dish & the seating arrangements. I was then told they would have to ask the GM.
After waiting a few moments I was told I could not because professional photographers take photos on behalf of penera bread.
I then stated that I would simply like to take a photo of the menu & display case (of which I only obtained a photo of the display case)
I was then told the GM would come out to explain why I can't take photos.
I waited about a mintue to which the GM came out and stated it's against company policy, I was then told that I can't take any photos on behalf of the public or Google or people in the restuarant would be fired.
So I requested to see a copy of company policy to which the GM said sure & then offered me a drink while I waited.
I was informed about seven mintues later than the sheriff's office had been called and that I should leave.
I then stated that I won't leave until I've spoken with the police & asked to hear an approximate time for their arrival, I wasn't given one, was told not to communicate to customers (a few had asked why this was escalated and what happened) & waited about 5 mintues after that before local police arrived.
I calmly walked outside with them, was issued a verbal 2 year no trespass order, and gave an account for what had happened.
Not only was I lied to after being honest sincere & calm about taking photographs for the community, I was also given a no trespass order for simply trying to provide photographic information for the community, of which i explained the situation & attempted to provide proof of my standing with Google as a local guide.
I would not recommend this restaurant due to the very odd mentality, hostility and unreasonableness of staff.
Perhaps I was treated this way because it was 5pm and shift change time or because they had, had a very long and tiresome day and took out their...
