I bought a Craftsman lawnmower from Ace last summer. After running for only a few months it died. I took it to Sears where it was picked up and taken to the Craftsman repair facility in Texas. It was returned to me a week later not fixed and with little guidance what to do. I went back to Ace and the manager, Mary, called the repair facility where she spoke to the facility manager. Bottom line was it should not have been returned; it shld have been fixed or replaced. Mary said she wd get to the bottom of the problem and get back to me next day. The next morning the store called and told me to come in and pick up my new mower. They put it together, gassed it and tested it to make sure it ran. I was absolutely floored. I thought I had a long frustrating ordeal ahead of me. Ace just cut through the red tape and paperwork and replaced my mower. The first mower was faulty and had always been extremely hard to start. My new one was a different story. The people at this store are beyond friendly and helpful. I wish they sold everything; I wouldn't shop anywhere else. A great story; I recommend it...
Read moreI ordered an item online to pick up at the store. I got the email that it was ready for pickup, and two days later I got another email stating my order had been canceled and I'd receive a refund. I called the store to see why my order had been canceled when I had not canceled it, and was told that the system automatically sends that email when an order has been in the store ready for pickup for 7+ days (which it hadn't been, to my knowledge). I told the person on the phone that I was planning on picking it up that day, and they assured me it was no big deal and they still had my item in the store. I showed up at the store, and my order was nowhere to be found. Apparently, the person who was in charge of looking for my order had left for the day, and I was told they'd keep looking for it and call me when they found it. A week later, and I haven't heard anything from them. I don't know if the store misplaced my order or if it never made it off the delivery truck, but I'm also not sure why I was told they had it and then two hours later it was missing and known to have been missing. Very...
Read moreWent in there today to buy a dolly and hardware to fix a toilet. Found the dolly with two different prices on it, one in back $79.99 the one in front $89.99. I asked the associate at the counter how much and he said $89 I told him I'd like it but for $79. He didn't want too and even told me he would take the lower price off for me but not sell it at that price. A manager overheard and stepped in. The manager CJ was a real straight shooter. He gave it to me for $79 w/o hesitation. Very friendly and helpful. I work full time as a FF/EMT and own a gutter business on the side. I've made mistakes on prices myself but I've always stuck with the price I quoted even when I lost money. CJ keep up the good work, I'll be back. Some people still know how to take care of...
