New Dragon Asian Food Market — Local services in Conway

I am editing to say that I am becoming torn with this business. I love that we have an Asian food market in town, but I feel like it's declining. It has a wide variety of items, which is wonderful, and the produce is always fresh. (Alas, we have found expired non-produce products on the shelves)

However, it is extremely uncomfortable to shop there now... The owner has installed cameras that speak when you walk by, stating "you are being recorded"... Having cameras is fine, encouraged actually, but to make your patrons feel like a criminal without having done anything at all is not okay...

The owner is always listening to some right-wing propaganda, religious mumbojumbo, or conspiracy theories... A public business is not the place for this... Listen to that at home...

Even on the front of the door the owner has placed signage about guns being welcome... Really? Absolutely unnecessary.

Lastly, the prices!!! I know that inflation is affecting everyone, especially small businesses, but the prices here are highway robbery! We used to shop here often, but due to everything listed here, we only shop here when we need something quickly (cannot wait for online order) or cannot locate...

EDIT (review July 2020) : I went back there a month after this review and I bought Sweet Rice again. The price had increased by $2!!! The packet of bean sprouts had decreased in size - used to, I could cook 4-5 dishes out of one bag. Now, I can only cook 3. Very disappointed. Review June 2020 : The first time I came here, they were fairly new and they didn't have much to offer for what I used in my cooking.

I went again about a year later as I had just moved to a nearby area... and it is absolutely LOVELY! They have EVERYTHING I need and I don't have to order online and wait for my goods to arrive.

We absolutely love this store! So lovely to have an Asian specialty store here in Conway. As a mixed Asian American, I find that this store carries all of the staples I need on a regular basis. You’ll find plenty of Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Filipino ingredients and foods, and more countries as well. They also carry lots of snacks and fun desserts!

The owners are the sweetest and very knowledgeable and every time I’ve needed help finding something they always know just where to look! For a specialty store their prices are not bad at all.

Although this store isn’t as large as a regular grocery store, it’s jam packed with a huge variety of great products and you’re very likely to find what you’re looking for here! Totally worth shopping here. We really appreciate having this amazing store...
