My fiancé and I went to the grocery store for a few items and wanted to empty out our spare change jar from the house. We’re at the self checkout using our change and then when we’re about a 1/4 of the way through it gets jammed. So we called over the employee that was over seeing the self checkout to get some assistance. This is where she said, “I would have went to the coin star instead of doing all this.” The coin star was out of order and also I’m not going to pay a fee when I can just insert coins and pay for my groceries. The manager then comes over to help. She had a good attitude and was happy to help, but left saying, “one at a time and very slow.” So that’s what we did, because we didn’t want to cause another scene or cause more tension with the employee over seeing the self checkout. Unfortunately when getting half way through the bottle the machine jammed again. The employee then came over saying, “The only person that can help you just went on break and you’ll have to wait 15 minutes.” So we then just paid with our credit card and went on our way.
The attendants behavior was inexcusable as we weren’t bothering any other customers or holding up the line. No one should have to feel ashamed if all they have is coins to pay. Patience and kindness is a lost virtue in today’s society, in which...
Read moreOur favorite Kroger in town and amazing Pharmacy with amazing staff. Bakery and Deli are phenomenal and love their sushi when in a bind. I’m a single mother to a daughter and we avoid one entire side of the self check outs. There’s a team member there who’s asked me to take of my coat to show my shirt, my kid told them to bug off, and always makes inappropriate comments on appearance. The shirt incident was after my thinking maybe this team member is just that way. The last time that team member started looking at our food and trying to read tattoos covered by clothes. We seriously stay away from that side. That was my final test. Either that team member needs some serious training or should be replaced in my opinion. Everyone else seemed to be trying to dodge that team member as well. All of that aside, this location cannot be beat. It’s better than the ones in WLR that are also quite large. This one has high quality and trains their staff to come out and give coupons if you’re looking at any clothing or shoes or accessories. Their kids clothing is amazing. Better stain removal than fancy brands and always a good deal with their sales. The management of this store overall will be hard for anyone to beat! You get the convenience without the Mega Store feeling. It’s one of our favorite...
Read moreSo, Kroger is one of "THE MOST EXPENSIVE" grocery options in the region. Kroger doesn't offer anything better other than a more varied selection of products. But, as far as value, it's a no-brainer. Kroger is too expensive.
The jewelry store and apparel sections are unwarranted and VERY expensive. Sleeping pants for $25? It's not Macy's, folks.
The "fresh" prepared foods is also a tale in caution. Why there is an Asian "sushi" chef and prepared "sushi" available is almost repugnant. I made the error of purchasing a California Combo that was pre-packaged and it was horrible. Absolutely horrible, which is why I'm up at this hour writing this review. The rice had become a condensed gelatinous goo that refused to separate from the individual pieces. CAUTION: only purchase fresh "sushi" from a reputable establishment. This stuff is industrial grade bowel cleanser.
Why isn't there a discount for self-checkout?
