I don’t like to post negative reviews typically, but I was upset with the lack of communication with the timeline that my request was done.
The tailor does a beautiful job, but I went in on 6/29 to have 5 pairs of work pants that needed a button hole and button replacement for the waistband. He told me it would be a quick job, and I instructed him that I needed them no later than 7/18. He assured me this would be no problem. He also has a sign plastered around his shop that alterations must be dropped off at least 3 weeks before the needed date, which was fine, I was within that timeline. They were not ready until 7/22, which left me without the pants I needed for my shark research survey in the Gulf of Mexico. I really would have been understanding if he would’ve called me and informed me that something came up and he couldn’t get them done in time. No problem—totally would have understood (things happen). I called 7/15, and the front desk lady had a hard time finding my ticket and when the tailor came on the phone, he was very gruff and told me he was working on them that night. On 7/20 my boyfriend called, as I was out of the country by this time, and he was rude to him as well about the pickup time.
Once they were finally ready, my boyfriend had to pick them up as I was out of the country, and he charged him, even though I had already paid upfront. My boyfriend had the ticket which stated I paid. It wasn’t an expensive job, but there was no reason to pay double for a job that was late and I couldn’t even use? He had my dress for 2 months and he said there would be no issue at all and it would be done in plenty of time. I waited a month and then called and it was like a search to find my ticket and when it was finally found it was like a question on what he was doing to it and didn’t even start it yet. 2 weeks before I was suppose to have it I called and he said yours is next I got prom and someone else’s to do. 1 week before I needed it I called and he said yours is next call me in a couple days to schedule a time to come in. 2 days before I needed it he said he was just now getting to it and it would be ready in 2 days. The day I was told to come in I walked in and he acted like he never told me to come in at that time/day and still questioned when I needed it by. By this point I wasn’t leaving without my dress because I had a flight out to get married somewhere else so I sat there as I watched him finish my dress and it wasn’t even a good job. My suggestion is If you can’t take on more items and can’t get them done in a timely manner and as promised don’t take on more projects. Be better organized. I shouldn’t have had to call several times and each time it was like he had no idea what he was doing with my dress. Have a secretary to handle all your projects so you know when something is due.

Read moreUseless, never returns calls, never follows up, always has an excuse. Provided this man with 4 pillows and new fabric 1 year ago for reupholstering to match our new chair!!!! As of today I have given up on them ever being done. Last October we weren’t in a hurry for them but after about 2 months we decided to check on them. We drove to the store and they had moved a few doors down due to a broken pipe damaging much of the store. We had to track the store down and the owner (Ray) gave us the first excuse but at no point were we called first to be told our pillows were damaged and had to be cleaned. Then we got the excuse the cleaners were holding them and not finished then after another month or so we are told the cleaning is done but now the insurance company is holding up the release of damaged materials then after that we were told they have to find the material we paid LaZboy for had not been found in storage and that he would order replacement if we got him the reorder number, which was done within a week after we were told he didn’t get the first send( again no follow up to check with us. Then the reorder didn’t go through but we had to call to find that out. Now at about a YEAR later we are told his payment for the new fabric was returned and a new color had to be ordered!!!!!! Please note there was never any due diligence to follow up on any of these issues unless we called!!! WE ARE DONE!!! No one should do business with this company if they want anything in a timely manner! We cannot speak to the quality of work since we never saw any actually...
