I found a long hair in my sandwich that was maliciously and deliberately placed there. Horrible experience! ZERO STARS! From the minute I stepped in this place my kids noticed that it was dingy and not loved, not like the other Tropical Smoothie locations around the state. The manager Jami took my to GO order and went in the back to prepare the sandwiches. She had an attitude from the start and was extremely rude taking my order. Everything was an issue and she couldn't be bothered. I took my order to go but at the last minute decided to stay with my kids to cool off before the next soccer game. As I took a bite out of my sandwich my son screamed "mom, there is a hair in your food!" A long disgusting hair was stuffed into my sandwich. I guess she never expected that I was going to stay and eat there. I took the sandwich to the register and politely mentioned to girl behind the desk that there is a hair in my sandwich. She offered to make a new sandwich (no, thanks. I lost my appetite and just the thought of it still makes me sick) or give me a refund. Since the manager had to process the refund I had to deal with Jami once again...She made no eye contact, didn't apologize and started ringing up the refund. This is where I said to her that an apology would be in order. Still nothing...not a word. So I told her that I frequently go to different Tropical Smoothie locations as a loyal patron, and that this was the absolutely worst customer service I have ever encountered to which she replied that I was rude, quote "the whole me was rude" and she continued to insult me. I finally asked her "so this is why you stuffed a hair in my food?" and her response was "you are not important enough". Read moreSo on Saturday May 15th 2021 I placed an order at the wrong location. I am from Charlotte North Carolina and I accidentally ordered it at the Conway location. I was ordering on the app and when you select your location it does not show the states. The area in Charlotte that I was trying to order from is called University. This location is also called University Commons. After I realized the mistake I had made, I called this location and they said they would take my number down for a manager to contact me. No one has called me back so I called them today. They would only refund me for the smoothie. $5.19 Apparently they had made the sandwich and could not get rid of it. Read moreThe service here is HORRIBLE. And it's not the workers' fault. They advertise food up on the sign on the wall. And then when you order it, they say, "oh we don't serve this here at this location. We are too busy to make food. We only make smoothies right now." Sounds to me like that would be a management decision.
If you order curbside, don't expect them to come out and bring it to you. You have to call them and if they answer, they may say, "we're too busy, could you please come in and get it?" Again, it looks to me as though the management is not scheduling enough workers.
I could go on and on. I have given these people so many chances based on the covid excuse. But that doesn't fly anymore. The Carolina Forest store has fantastic service and had it all through covid. So the covid excuse doesn't...
