First time here the other day. Will never be going back. I asked for a basic manicure ($12). Sat down and explained to the young kid who was doing my nails that I wanted the light pink color all over my nails and then a white tip. He proceeded to do the manicure (cutting, filing, cleaning) and it already didn’t seem like he knew what he was doing but I went along with it thinking he had his own way of doing things. He then started to paint the tips of my nails white (before painting my actual nail). After all of the tips were white, he took a brush and some nail polish remover and began rounding them out to perfect the line. Again, I’ve never seen a French tip done this way but figured it was his way of doing it. THEN, he took the pink paint and went to paint it over the white tip? What he was thining? I’m not sure. The older man happened to walk past at that point and ask what he was doing. To which I’m guessing (because he was speaking another language) that he told him he did it all wrong and had to start over. He removed all of the paint and started from scratch. I’m sure he could tell I was getting frustrated and then asked me if I was tired? Really? He continued to paint my nails the pink color. Then shouted out to the older lady working. Words were said. He then began a second coat of the pink color. Only my right hand received a second coat of paint because I realized he was just trying to pass the time until the older lady came over and drew the lines for the white tip on my nails for him to color in. As I was sitting there, another person in the salon made a comment about how she had never seen white tips before? I didn’t know if I was on another planet or she was? He then continued her work and completely messed up all of her lines and missed spots and after he was done he just kind of stopped. No words to tell me we were done or where to go to dry them. Just giggled at me as if I was supposed to know he was finished with the terrible job he just did. As I went to dry my nails I noticed the white was dripping into the pink color and around my nails was still not clean at all. I was just so irritated and already there for so long that I just wanted to leave at that point. I went to go pay and they told me it would be $20. I asked why? He said because they charge more for a French tip. ($6 more for a white tip?). Meanwhile the kid didn’t even know what he was doing and that shouldn’t have been charged as just as an apology for his mess up in the beginning. As I was paying and ready to leave, they asked if they’d see me tomorrow? As if I was supposed to come back and lay again for him to fix the mess he had just made. I will never be returning. I felt like I was...
Read moreDO NOT GO HERE! I frequented this location many times, but the last couple years I have received horrible service. I took a break from them and came in a couple months ago to receive a gel pedicure and a soak off. The nail tech did NOT soak off my acrylic that was already on my toe, which is a health issue and even after speaking to her about it she proceeded to continue to drill it off saying “it’s gonna come off.” The pedicure was mediocre, it was rushed, the water was cold and I didn’t get to receive anything but an overpriced nail polishing service. After a couple months, when it was time to remove my set, I proceeded to try to soak the gel and acrylic off my toe and it will not budge. As a nail tech myself, I know that soak offs are supposed to take about 30 mins max. I’ve been soaking my toe multiple times for hours at a time and it won’t come off my foot. I don’t know if it was her sloppy technique, or because they use MMA acrylic, which is illegal in the U.S. But DO NOT GO here. The owner is rude, and after calling her to speak about this issue she said she was busy and to come in to pay to have it removed. I will be contacting the local health department, and seeking legal action for having to go to a podiatrist to remove it. I just don’t want anybody else to make the...
Read moreI have never left a bad review even if it’s a bad job, but this was my worst nail experience by far. My nails were filed short even though I asked for them to remain long (I had 1 nail that already broke and was short so that’s not their fault.) however, The nail tech said it would look nicer if all were even but I said I didn’t care for that nail and I wanted the rest of my nails to be long. Now my nails are all uneven/ different lengths and not the shape I asked for. I asked for almond shape and they are not. When I asked the tech to fix the shape, he kept filing shorter without fixing the shake that I had to ask to just leave them as is since they were getting so short already. I was very frustrated since there was no hope asking him to fix anything as it kept getting worse.
I had called and asked for the price and was quoted a certain price on the phone. When I was ready to pay, they told me a different and higher price even though I confirmed a few times on different days the price. I was not about to pay more for a bad job so they eventually honoured the price...
