For the last four months, I have had to call various Walgreens looking for a certain medication. I've driven to Apache Junction, Mesa, and the other two times, here to Coolidge. Dealing with this issue, after being told my medication would be filled by my local Walgreens in STV, who are horrible with on-time refills or keeping medication in stock, which forces patients to go up to a full week without their prescriptions. Most of the time you call a Walgreens, you get transferred to some central phone center where none of the pharmacy techs are happy and they can't see local stock. I know, because twice, they said my prescription was in stock and being filled only to get a delayed, out-of-stock message within 24 hours. Here, in Coolidge, the last two times, they came through on my medication making it a stress-free process. It's been a ton of stress dealing with the STV location. The local staff, here in Coolidge, always answer the phone. Check back in when on hold, will check stock while the patient is on the phone, and have always been super friendly. I live 30 minutes away, but the Coolidge location seems to be the jewel in the desert. Today, I called in, was informed the medication was in stock, and I got a filled prescription notification within 10 minutes. My other location can go a week late (always has an excuse) and then get upset when we question delays when you don't have medication. I have dealt with Walgreens for over 20 years in multiple states, and never had such a good experience as what I've had with Coolidge. Perhaps Walgreens needs to reward the positive pharmacies as store ratings for this company aren't very good, well except here. While the drive takes about 50 minutes out of my day, I don't mind driving for fast, friendly service! Kudos to the Coolidge pharmacy staff!! Job well...
Read moreI left there crying. If your old and STILL don’t understand the concept of customer service what are you doing with your life? I had the unfortunate luck of getting Bill to be the one to take my babies passport picture. I mentioned to bill that I needed the picture done asap to get an emergency passport to go to my moms funeral. And my baby just like any other baby was crying. As he stood there looking so annoyed after the third try he repeatedly kept mentioning to come back another day I walk around to let her calm down I come back to him and again after a few tries and looking irritated he said to just come back another day. I left crying because I’ve already went through a bunch of obstacles trying to make sure I can make it to my mothers funeral I didn’t think that an employee at Walgreens would make it even harder for me. I have never worked at a place where I was allowed to tell a customer to come back another day because I was inconvenienced as the employee. I come back the next day and after we were able to successfully take her picture he made me wait until he helped out every customer in the entire store before he rang me up. It was like a joke almost so I got in line after about 8 min of waiting for the other customers he helped someone else came behind me in line (I’ve already been waiting 15min at this point if not more) and he tells me that he’s going to help out the person behind me so I’m just standing there like an idiot with a crying child idk how or in what way...
Read moreAfter moving to Arizona from NE, where I had several poor experiences with Walgreens, I decided to try the Walgreens in Coolidge AZ. The same type of experiences continued. Getting a flu shot seemed simple enough, until the paperwork was sent to Medicare instead of my United Healthcare plan. I got the shot in September 2017 and gave Walgreens my United Healthcare card to process and didn't think any more about it until Jan 2018 when I got a notice from Medicare that they couldn't process my claim. Then it was followed by a bill from Walgreens for $40.57. I called United Healthcare who were extremely helpful and resolved the issue. Why would Walgreens send the bill to Medicare instead of my insurance, good question? It just shows their lack of attention to details! As the other review from my location indicated, Walmart or Safeway are better choices for prescriptions!! 2 stars is giving Walgreens the benefit...
