One of the two coffee shops in town. While I appreciate having a local option, there is definitely room for improvement. The coffee is fine, but it’s consistently served extremely hot, which makes it hard to enjoy right away. It doesn’t seem like drinks are being properly temped before serving. The pastries promoted on social media don’t quite match what you receive in store, which can be disappointing.
Although the shop recently changed its name and decor, many of the same issues that existed under Nana’s Coffee Shoppe remain. A full rebrand should go beyond appearances. Proper barista training, customer service training, and a thoughtful menu revamp would go a long way in creating a better experience for Coolidge and the surrounding areas.
