My teenage son and I went to the Coral Gables Art Cinema to see the movie, "The Widow Clicquot", about the history behind the champagne know as "Veuve Cliquot".
Then we went with my mom to see the movie, the "7 Samurai" a black and white Japanese movie made in 1954.
Later on, all three of us went to see a more recent movie, "Touch" a sweet love story between a young Japanese woman and a young Islandic man who lost touch with each other and then who rekindled their love in their latter years.
My son and I returned to see the movie, "Between the Temples" about Jewish May-December love story. We also went to see the movie, "Mountains", a heart-touching story about a Haitian immigrant family living in the Little Haiti neighborhood of Miami, Florida and how they are affection by gentrification of their neighborhood, racism as well as relational and financial struggles.
I am glad that such cinemas still exist to show old movies, artistic movies and foreign films. It is a quaint and cool old cinema with a carpet with designs of movie film reels and movie tickets and there is an old movie camera decorating the corner of the cinema.
Felix, the young man who sold us the tickets for the movie, "Touch" and who also sold the popcorn and water at the concession stand, was ever so nice, kind, friendly and helpful. Alyssa, Katya and Mari who also sold us tickets, popcorn, chocolate, sodas and water at the concession stand, were also incredibly kind, friendly and helpful.
My mom already has membership at this cinema and she regularly goes with groups of her friends to see movies here. We will also become members to support this gem of an...

I love hearing one of the hosts tell the audience a story or give us context before a special screening.
If you haven't gone here yet, you must. Watch a movie with some...

The sound system's great and both the digital and 35 mm projectors are in great shape. But It's not a large theater, so if you're coming for a popular Wes Anderson film, you might want to be 10 minutes early.
The lobby snack bar has so many options, you'll never be able to try them all. I'm confident that there's nowhere else you could get a glass of wine and a bag of popcorn as cheaply.
Thanks to John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the cinema will be upgrading soon to take over the patio furniture shop next door and add...
