Had been holding off reviewing my experience at The Club of Knights for my wedding but thought maybe I can save someone from having the experience my new wife and I had on our special night. We decided on Club of Knights after visiting several other venues and finally seeing the inside of this venue and speaking with Daniela (owners daughter). I must say, our first experience with Daniela went well, we hit it off as if we had known her for many years. We decided on what exactly it was we wanted and came to an agreement and signed the paperwork. Our next meeting with Daniela was our food tasting, again very nice experience, super friendly, super understanding and super helpful. Fast forward to wedding day............. we had prepaid for 135 guests, had originally said 100 but upped the number to 135 a week or so before. As the bridal party entered the office area, awaiting the time to enter the party, we were immediately approached by Daniela, who I must say was NOTHING like the previous experiences. She immediately told us we had passed our guest count by 30 or so and needed to take care of the difference before she would allow our guests to enter the venue from the cocktail hour. (She wanted cash btw, $4000 or so) I explained I didnt have access to that amount in cash but wished for her to recount the guests due to the fact we had a large camera crew and I would take care of it with a credit card. She said to us that she would not open the food stations once the guests enter unless the total is taken care of. After the guest were allowed to enter, and the final count was done, we were behind schedule an hour or so. I told Daniela, I would take care of the balance once we start the party, get through the dances and was able to sneak out and they agreed. As soon as we finished the 3 special dances, we were forced to have to start our Hora Loca right away since we were behind schedule. I again was approached to handle the bill immediately. I explained I would take care of the total owed as soon as the Hora Loca finished and I was no longer needed for filming purposes. She would not accept that and ordered payment. I went to the office to handle payment while my wife danced alone and experienced the hora loca on her own. As I was getting the credit cards for pymt, all I could hear was them calling for the groom and asking where I was. I explained to Daniela how unprofessional she was conducting business and how I told her I would handle everything once the hora loca was done and again she would not accept that and i had no other option but to walk out and rejoin my wife. No more than 10 minutes passed where I was AGAIN approached this time telling me "Upper management called and they're demanding payment Now!" (Daniella is the owners daughter, I'd say shes as high as management goes). By this time I was as upset as I could be and in such a horrible mood, it was best I went to pay rather than ruin my wedding video more than it already was with the face I had. I honestly would not reccomend ANYONE spend their special day at this Venue. If you want it ruined, then by all means go ahead. They are a VERY unprofessional venue, and all they care about is their money. They didnt care what they were ruining that night or how much they ruined and for our experience,...
Read moreThe Club of Knights is truly a gem. The location itself is very low key, and you would never imagine what a beautiful venue is hidden within its doors. Just entering the building, you are greeted with delightful scent and beautiful scenery. The cocktail space is clean and spotless, and the reception area is like a beautiful dream. It is the perfect location and offers a very classy and intimate feel to it. Our venue specialist was Michelle, and what a delight it was to work with her! She was with us through the entire process, ready to answer every question, resend every email we could not find, and remind us of every upcoming mark or deadline so we stayed on track leading up to the big day. Michelle has such a kind and beautiful heart, and truly glows in this industry of work to make every couples day so special!
The food was spectacular, and is a comment I continue to hear about our special night. I did not personally acquaint myself with the kitchen staff but they deserve a round of applause, because the menu, and execution of the menu, was truly wonderful. Our hors d'oeuvres and the late-night snacks were unique and delightful with every bite. I would also like to mention Jelibel who served us and Molly at the bar, had wonderful customer service and deserve much praise for being so lovely throughout the night.
My husband, as well as my parents met Judy the day of our food tasting. On the day of our wedding, Judy took care of us from the moment we got to the venue, to the moment we left. She was beyond attentive and exceeded our expectations. In looking back at our special night, my husband and I both shared the same sentiment that Judy was an absolute all-star. If our drink was close to finishing, she brought us a fresh one. If there was an hors d'oeuvres I wanted another bite of, she found it and brought me back two. Throughout the night my husband and I would go back and forth from the dance floor to the lobby talking and taking pictures with our guests. No matter where we were, Judy would circle back to us and make sure we were taken care of. I was already having a positive experience with the Club of Knights, but Judy made me fall in love with this venue, and recommend it to everyone I know tying the knot.
P.S My mom & dad say they experienced VIP treatment with Judy too. We will always remember Judy for making this night spectacular!
Thank you so...
Read moreI'm sure all brides say this but I had such a beautiful wedding. Best Miami Weddings really helped me to put together a beautiful day. I rented the outdoor courtyard and the indoor reception hall, not the cocktail hour hallway. The lighting was gorgeous the tables were perfect. The day of service was amazing. When the wedding was over my mom went out to collect all of the decorations that we brought (mostly metal lanterns). She found out that the venue had already boxed up everything for us! Everything that wasn't needed was put away for us! When my mom unpacked everything and found that the cake cutting set that I bought was missing she panicked. She called the venue and they found it few days later in their warehouse!
The only complaint I had with the venue was communication. When we decided to go with the venue it was like pulling teeth to figure out what was needed to finalize and reserve dates. Once that was all figured out we had a few months to relax and buy decorations. I was told that an "Organizer" would contact me 3 months before the wedding so that we could discuss what we expected of each other and no one ever did. It almost felt like the didn't need or want my business. Once they put me in communication with Karla everything went a lot more smoothly.
Fortunately I knew from reading only that the venue really needs the final number of guest a month before the wedding. No one contacted me about it so I told them. It was so hard to figure out what it was that I was responsible for and what they were responsible for. At that point we asked for a final quote so that we could finish paying for the wedding. The number of guests was wrong, they upgraded our package without our request, and added things that weren't supposed to be there. We finally got the correct quote the day before the wedding! I was pulling my hair out I was so afraid they weren't going to give me what was discussed.
In the end every single thing was PERFECT!!!! I was beyond pleased. If I had any suggestions for the company it would be to communicated and reassure the customer more. It would have been such a more complete experience. It was worth every...
