If you live in south Florida, you know how frustrating it can be to find quality work, or for someone to simply follow up and call you back. I researched as much as I could for a custom engagement ring. I searched as far as Fort Lauderdale, to west Kendal. If I traveled, Iād inquire in different states. By chance I found 3 jewelers on miracle mile and decided to again inquire about a custom ring I had found. Like most jewelers I had visited, they wanted my business, but either did not follow through, or just could not locate the specific stones I was looking for. Making the cast itself I imagine was also difficult. I admit what I was asking was a challenge. But I gave myself enough time, and knew at some point Iād find someone, hopefully.
Finally, I met with Andrea and Jill October 8, 2020. I explained and showed them what I was looking for. I mentioned I would be proposing mid December. They assured they would have it done at the end of November and were very discrete, so my plans were not foiled. After our first meeting, Andrea and Jill said theyād reach out in 2-3 days with what I was looking for. I still wasnāt sure what to expect, since in Miami 2-3 days usually means whenever they get around to it if they remember. So I kept looking. But sure enough, 3 days later they sent photos of the salt and pepper diamonds I was looking for and had them mailed from NY so I could choose the diamond. 4 days later, The diamonds arrived and I came in to view 11 diamonds. I had contacted a dozen jewelers at this point, and only one of them had me view 2 that were nowhere even close to what I was asking. And they had 11 of them. I picked the diamond, and it was sent back to be cut, and returned to Jaeās. November 13th, I received a message that the ring was done! Almost 2 weeks earlier than estimated. At this point Iām in shock but still skeptical. Thereās no way they made this from scratch, and finished this early. Forgetting that the ring was priced at what I was looking for, I would have paid double just for the customer service and constant follow up. Thereās a million things running through a mans head when preparing to propose. Time, place, lighting, placing, budget, look, feel, what to say, what to do, plan B, plan C, scrapping the plan and waiting until next year, etc. but the most important piece being done, on time, and coming out like I asked, was pure ecstasy. And I am a very difficult person to please.
There are very professional jewelers out there, and they have amazing works of art. But I wanted something rare, special, and with a story, and they delivered. I know a 5 out of 5, or 10 out of 10 doesnāt exist. But the level of confidence, resource, and dependability made this process effortless.
I hope this helps, good luck gents.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreJae's does not honor problems with purchases as they blame the manufacture.
My husband bought me a lovely bracelet with small diamonds all around at Jae's (one of many pieces he bought there). After a year 1 fell off and, after long discussions, they replaced it for free. Great! However, 2 months after that 1 more diamond fell off and 1 month after that, 1 more diamond fell off. My husband took the bracelet to them and they wanted to charge $200 per diamond replaced plus charge for the work. My husband was perplexed. They said that the way the diamonds are held is not the best and that is the cause of the problem... so, is NOT their problem. We feel it is their problem as they are the ones selling the jewelry. My husband is not a confrontational person, so he told them that they were wrong and left with the faulty bracelet. We rather pay another jeweler for the diamonds and work than Jae's.
We have spent thousands of dollars in that store. Needless to say, we will NOT be buying anything there again. RESPONSE TO JAY's RESPONSE: I did not demand multiple repairs over the past few years nor did I 'air' my grievances again (this is the first time). As a matter of fact, the first item my husband ever bought from you was in July 2023 (one sapphire necklace) that I exchanged for several items amounting the same cost (The necklace was about $8K and paid a difference of about $60 for the 3-4 jewelry items I replaced it with if I remember well - was a matter of taste and my husband just wanted me to use whatever I got). So we have only done business with you for the past year and a half!
Before the problem with the bracelet, I asked for a delicate necklace to be repaired as the clasp broke and you did it after wanting to charge me. I complaint as it was within the year and the clasp just broke when on my neck (I almost lost the necklace but I saw it falling down)). The only item I asked after the 1 year was this bracelet and I asked twice (as I lost 1 diamond first and 2 after a month of the first one being repaired).. so don't lie and exaggerate or lie in order to make your point!
You sold me a defective item (3 diamonds lost (within 3 months) in less than 1 1/2 year from purchase).
The fact that your answer is to attack me and exaggerate about the facts, speaks volumes about the service I received. You are a family owned and most of the times are super nice and welcoming but your angry response speaks volumes.
I did not lie nor did I exaggerate. I told facts. You are trying to make me look as someone that keeps asking and demanding for frivolous things. I have not. 4 repairs - 1 within the year. 1 paid. 2 for the same bracelet bought within 11/2 yrs and lost 3 diamonds (per your people - the diamonds fell due to the way the diamonds were held, so it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been living in Miami for 40 years and one of the most trusted retailers in town is Jaeās Jewelers. Now in its 75th year of service and one of the longest operating stores on Miracle Mile in Coral Gables, Jaeās is family owned and operated by third generation Jillian Hornick, a granddaughter of the founder, who is both as charming and beautiful as the jewelry she sells. As a result, Jaeās consistently sells the highest quality gems, watches, and gold jewelry than any other store in the area.
Unlike the impersonal, cold water therapy costumers of mall chain stores like Mayorās are greeted with when they walk through the door, Jaeās is a warm, embracing, and inviting place that welcomes each and every client with a smile of recognition. Try as they might to duplicate, there is nothing like a family run business to beat the big retailers at customer service, especially jewelers like Jaeās.
Case in point. For months I have been wanting to purchase for my son a very special watch for his numerous accomplishments. However, unlike BC (before Covid) when jewelers had an inventory of new watches, customers now have to register for Swiss-made watches.
However, even registrations provide no guarantee of when a watch will arrive. It could take three months or three years. Much to my pleasant surprise, I recently walked into Jaeās to fix a necklace and walked out with the very watch I wanted for my son.
The months of waiting on another storeās registration list turned into mere minutes at Jaeās, which maintains a small but well curated supply of elite watches, from Rolex to Cartier to Phillipe Patek.
Because supply chain issues have caused a lack of inventory for new watches, pre-owned watches are now not only more expensive than new ones, but also more valuable. Therefore, although the pre-owned watch I purchased from Jaeās for my son was more expensive than a new one, its value will continue to increase from the moment I bought it until well into the future. Even more important, Jaeās certification and warranty gave me the comfort of knowing the watch was authentic.
None of this could have been possible without the assistance of Jillian, whose grace and knowledge impart to Jaeās clients the ability to shop with confidence and wear with pride. What a pleasure and relief.
I give Jillian and Jaeās a five star rating. A must stop and shop location whenever you are in...
