My daughter wanted to have her 9th birthday party at an ice rink. Weâve typically attended other parties at the Pines Ice Arena. My wife suggested we scope this one out.
Iâm so glad she did! We visited before booking and saw they had much larger party rooms and much more space to generally move around and places to sit.
After booking, we found the catering department is the same company that services the main Panthers arena in Sunrise.
We catered the food and they ensured every detail was gone over, including that I wanted the food to all be brought out from the beginning of the party (more on that later). Had there not been a game going on, we could have had some custom (non-catering menu) items created by their chef.
The party was booked during holiday hours regardless you get 2 hours of ice skating with 1 hour of food either before or after the party (your choice at booking). We arrived about 45 mins early to setup and our host was available to help us setup - super helpful the entire time!
We also opted to have a group skating lesson for 30 mins at the beginning of the party. The instructor, Sophia, was terrific with the kids and helped one of my other younger daughters gain confidence to skate without the aids!
I skated most of the time and the party and catering hosts took care of everything else, hassle free!
There was a hiccup with the pizzas arriving late due to the difference in holiday hours but it wasnât a big deal.
My daughter was equally embarrassed and enjoyed the Zamboni ride that came with the package.
As the party concluded, the party host helped clean up everything and pack us up. At no point did we feel rushed to leave like other places weâve had parties at before.
As we were leaving, there was a woman from another party who was being a complete terror to the staff over the delayed pizza. Reprehensible, abhorrent, and downright rude. Like, truly unjustified. Treating them with complete disrespect. She continued to reference our party and the fact that we had food come out before them. Despite the staff explaining the situation, she was unreasonable.
Overall, we will continue to have parties at this location as our daughters wish to have ice skating parties.
I highly recommend this rink for...

The Florida Panthers IceDen is truly an impressive and unexpected gem. As soon as you walk in, you realize this isnât just another rink - itâs a massive, professional-level complex buzzing with energy. There are two full-sized hockey rinks side by side, and at almost any time of day, youâll see teams practicing, kids skating drills, and games in progress. The atmosphere is incredible - full of excitement, motion, and community.
If you visit, bring a light jacket - the temperature inside stays nice and cool for the ice, which makes it feel even more authentic. The new in-house food counter is clean and well-run, offering everything from hot coffee to snacks for parents and players alike. Thereâs also a fully stocked pro shop and Panthers clothing store with everything you could possibly need for hockey - jerseys, sticks, gear, skates and great team merch.
One of the coolest things I noticed was the diversity - the jerseys showed names from all over the world. You can tell this place draws families and players from across the globe, which adds to the world-class atmosphere. Even if youâre not a hockey expert, itâs impossible not to be impressed by the scale, organization, and passion on display here.
Whether youâre a local family, a visiting fan, or just curious about hockey, the Florida Panthers IceDen is absolutely worth a visit â itâs pure...
Read moreThe place is beautiful, well lighted which makes it look great. I attended a party, was a fantastic idea having the kids around the rink helping each others and finding a way to really move. I take out 2 stars because food service was terrible, not only to my friend who pizzas were badly cut, but to myself that arrived without eating lunch expecting to feed my 10&12 years old daughters, there. After an hour of waiting for One order of Chicken tenders (3 pieces) with fries, store closed (I saw the fence down) and told me to go upstairs and pick up the order there, girl upstairs were unaware of it and made several calls to the guys downstairs, after 10 minutes I went down and showed my bill with the time of the order!!! They were as impressed as I was. Finally the cashier went in the kitchen and brought my 3 pieces of chicken with half of the basket with fries. By the time, party was almost over my girls were eating in front of the rest of the guests (very disrespectful to those who probably wanted fries instead of pizza) which I consider totally inappropriate but couldn't do better with food...
