I spent the Entire day trying to place an order for over 300 dollars through the app, that kept instructing me to go to the store to check out. Finally I went to the store and spoke to Demani who assisted me with placing the order online, as that was the only way to buy a gaming console. After more than 30 mins the order finally went through. I received an email with a confirmation of payment and the order number. I provided that to Demani and he located the order. After all the inconvenience I had experience trying to purchase my sons birthday gift he called an associate to see if she can process the order so I would not have to return the following day and be further inconvenienced.
When Andrine who identified her title as an ETL SE, (company jargon), came to the front. I asked was she a member of management and she said yes. I asked if my order which was for one item could be processed (pulled from the back and checked out in Target system). Without any empathy Andrine refused telling me that I had 6 orders ahead of mine to be processed (although I was the only customer standing in front of her, in the store to pick up an order). She then explained that “I have one guy back there and his attention has shifted to other things”. Andrine said all this while making up her face and rolling her eyes.
When I called Targets guest relations and I spoke with Ruby, who from her tone I can tell didn’t care. I asked her if the store manager could call me back to discuss what happened and she said she can request it but calling customers back after a complaint was filed was not Targets process. I expressed that I felt Targets entire culture say Target does not care.
I haven’t picked up my order as I was sent home without it and told I could come back 8am when the store opened, which would be in less than 12 hours. Because of my work schedule this is further inconveniencing. I no longer think I want to do business with Target and believe I will have a better customer experience going to one of their competitors such as Walmart.
Based on the experience I have had I Wil not encourage anyone to spend their hard earned money at any retailer if they can’t provide at least great customer service. My expectations on Customer Care I would receive from Target were obviously set...
Read moreI only shop Target if they have a new collection coming out like Lily Pulitzer. While I do like their Archer Farm label I find them to have a smaller selection of products and higher prices than nearby Walmart.
Last Saturday I came by to check out their new Global World collection. It's supposed to be comprised of items you would find in bazaars around the world. They have three divisions, island life, ocean hue, and sand and sable. The sand and sable table was right when you walk into the store. It had black and white bathing suits, purses, hats, and pillows. The island life/ocean hue display was back by shoes. It had straw bags, colorful necklaces and earrings, pillows, small tables, and pottery. Both the displays had huge banners like you would see at a bazaar hanging over them from the ceiling making them easier to find the displays. I found even more items belonging to the collection scattered about housewares.
I thought the collection was cute but priced too high. I almost bought a tassel necklace and straw bag but end up passing. The item I was most interested in, the gladiator sandals they did not have. This was to my benefit because they are listed at $30 on Target's website and I found the exact same pair of sandals at the Turtle Run Walmart for $16. In fact the Walmart had a lot of items that would have fit in the Target line but for much less money. Target puts items on clearance fairly quickly as I am sure their Global World will soon be, making it much more affordable.
As for the rest of the store it is your average Target. No better or worse than others I have been too. I don't care for their clothes and they rarely have the best price on anything so I don't generally shop here even though I have the Red Card. I know you can can save more with their coupons and cartwheel but honestly I can't be bothered. I get a much better price and selection at Walmart with out having to download anything...
Read moreMy mom and I were shopping at the Coral Springs Target where we normally go and there was a deal on a feminine product (buy one get one 50% off) so she grabbed two. We eventually get to the self checkout and the deal wasn’t coming up in the system (sometimes that can happen). So I called over an employee and she , without checking and verifying first, said there’s no deal on it. We told her either she can check the aisle or we will go take a picture for her so she can see they’re advertising a Deal on this product. She declined. She then frames it as she’s doing us a favor. I clearly told her she’s not and to speak ignorantly about something that she could just go and check and see for herself is amazing to me. Then she proceeds to profile us, what we have in our carts AFTER she saw us pay for everything and then follows us out the store. At this point it’s not even about the savings anymore. It’s about the principle. The way we were treated is disgusting. The employees never know their own deals or have any awareness of their own products and deals and then treat people this way, as if people are trying to pull a fast one on them. I’ve paid for everything I’ve ever walked out with and yet was profiled as if I’m not. I don’t appreciate this. Saying I’m upset is an understatement. I have been a customer here for years. 10 years to be exact. As of lately this behavior is very annoying, wrong and unfair. And then there’s no accountability on the part of the employees for treating people this way. I’ve seen them treat other people this way as well and it’s a shame and it’s very upsetting. Instead of taking accountability for not being aware of their own products, deals and job, they blame, profile and mistreat the customer and then act like they’re doing people a favor....
