We bought a new home with a media room. Based upon glowing recommendations from our daughter and son-in-law, we hired Wired 4 Sound & Video, LLC to install audio/video equipment not only in our media room but throughout the home and covered patio. Kevin Smith is the owner of Wired 4 Sound and the only party with whom we dealt with throughout the planning and installation of the equipment. Mr. Smith’s knowledge and experience were valuable during the planning stages as he recommended equipment suitable for the project, with an eye toward minimizing costs, without minimizing quality. The installation included a 110 inch bordered screen, a projector, Sonos-Connect AMP, mounts for large screen television in another room, gigabit switches, wireless access points, universal programmable remotes, several a/v receivers, and numerous in-wall and in-ceiling speakers. Wired 4 Sound’s expertise furnished us with the latest in state-of-the-art technology, at a price point which we considered quite reasonable.
The installation was very professional and took most of four days time. What we were most pleased about was the fact that the speakers were fairly invisible and blended into the ceilings and walls, rather than speaker mounts on walls and ceilings that while effective are not especially appealing to the eye.
We cannot recommend Wired 4 Sound highly enough, not only for their planning and installation but for their post-installation service. On two different occasions, we have trouble with our video and Mr. Smith immediately addressed the situations without charge, even though the problems were solely attributable to DirecTV. On yet two other occasions, we installed additional devices and Mr. Smith came by, again with no charge, and programmed the new devices into the universal remotes.
We have no connection, family or otherwise to Kevin Smith/Wired 4 Sound other than as extremely pleased customers. In our opinion, you can not go wrong hiring Wired...
Read moreBeen a customer for almost 8 years. Kevin is extremely responsive to all our tech issues. Recently, I experienced a receiver system anomaly. He attempted to troubleshoot via telephone. Unbeknownst to me a I/O cable had backed out during routine exhaust fan cleaning and interrupted “Zone2” music. Kevin availed himself, in-line with our schedule, with a new replacement receiver - at his initial cost - and payed us a house call. He found the issue within minutes (didn’t I feel stupid) and corrected the cable mis-alignment.
