Dr. Z has been our family chiropractor since we moved to the area 13 years ago. Very early on, he worked his magic with an issue I thought was irrelevant to his practice. I just happened to mention it and he said "why didn't you say something? I can help with that!" Less than a month later, issue corrected. Amazing!

Over the years, it became very clear to me that the only way to stay balanced and pain-free is with regular visits to Dr. Z (supplemented by those painful but necessary deep tissue massages). Low back pain? Not this gal!

Fast forward 12 years (and many more miles on these old bones) I complained to him about persistent muscle pains that have been interfering with my every day life and exercise. Dr. Z asked me if I was on a statin. I said yes, for years, but only the tiny, minimum dose. He informed me that even the smallest dose can have long-term adverse effects on soft tissue. I said "yeah but if my heart stops beating, my achy ankles will become irrelevant!" But, he planted the idea in my head so I made an appointment with my cardiologist. After running some tests, he told me I should definitely get off the statin! He said that since these meds came out, many years ago, there is a lot more actual data to help decide if they are right or wrong for each individual. In my case, he saw no reason or benefit for me to be on this medication! If it weren't for Dr. Z, it would never have occurred to me to question, investigate and take action. This rave review is LOOONG overdue! Dr. Matt has been our family chiropractor for the past 4 years and we would never even think of going anywhere else! With his adjustments and advice, my chronic, debilitating lower back pain has improved tremendously. I recently, finally, convinced my husband to see Dr. Matt for some persistent shoulder and elbow pain he had. He had been reluctant to commit to a weekly trip to Cornelius, down "dreaded 77!" After only a couple of visits, he couldn't stop talking about the amazing improvement he saw. He now makes the trip to Cornelius a top priority in his busy week and declares "I should have done this sooner!"

MORE IMPORTANT than all that though, Dr. Matt has been incredible with our two kids, now ages 12 and 14. As parents, we trust Dr. Matt with the care of their young, developing bodies and we have seen great results in their athletic performance and overall well-being. Without disclosing their private issues, let me just say that Dr. Matt worked absolute miracles with functions I didn't even think related to chiropractic care. The kids love him, they trust him and they look forward to their weekly visits. The staff at ZFW is also phenomenal; so friendly, so helpful, so knowledgeable! It truly is difficult for me to find the words to express my gratitude to Dr. Z and Rene at Zimmerman Family Wellness. When I first started with Dr. Z, I was coming out of my fight with breast cancer. I was (and still am) rebuilding myself after a 2 year fight for my life. I was pretty broken and hurting everywhere. I have been to MANY other chiropractors and cannot implore you to the fact that Dr. Z is like no other. From the first phone call, I knew that this was the place that was going to help me get my health back. From how helpful, sweet, caring, and professional Rene is, to my first sit down with Dr. Z, I just knew. Knew that this place was different. Knew that they cared more for me than for making a buck. Dr. Z truly has his patients best interest at heart. Then I started to get my adjustments and like magic, my pain started to melt away. From lower back pain, to my neck pain, to my migraines, and he even fixed my plantar fasciitis which was a miracle (the doctors were talking surgery).
