Absolutely worst place to go shopping if you have any hint of shade to your skin period. Definition of race at its best. I stopped in w my daughter to buy something quick for an interview and among walking in they automatically started following us as if we were doing something wrong. It is absolutely disgusting to treat your potential customers like this. I was once my own boutique owner. Monica's Kouture & Boutique & when u sent your employee to come look at our stuff ask her if we treated her the same? No we did not. I instead she took pictures. She literally said y'all had the same clothes we did but prices 4 times more expensive. My daughter said one lady was literally breathing down her neck the entire time. I told let's just get out of her. This is the most uncomfortable way to spend money. I would never ever support a business who treats their customers as such. Do better. Not all people of color, whether we're Hispanic, black , purple or brown steal. Unfortunate for u we just went to Ross instead. Dress for less. Keep your overpriced items that can be ordered from Chinese retailer for $5 and then go try and sell them for $79 at your store. You're ridiculous and make me sick. I have never in my life felt so discriminated like I did today. They literally treated us like we were aliens like someone else said. I had money to spend love but never will I support such a discriminating pace ever. Your parents should have...
Read moreI don't shop very much for myself. I get frustrated to easy when I can’t find things I like. Today I decided to do a little shopping but didn’t want to go into town and deal with all the traffic, so I stayed in the 5 points area. I love to support small businesses, especially boutiques. Three of my favorites out here are Sassy Kat Boutique Madeline’s Bright Designs and Shabby Shack. I decided to stop at a place called 2 Jewels. I’ve seen it many times, and I went there once, probably 6 years ago. Well, it was a HUGE mistake! Not sure if it was the long black hair, my tattoos or what, but apparently, if you look a certain way, or you don’t look a certain way, they automatically assume you are going to steal something. I was in such a good mood and ready to spend some money on myself, and they completely ruined it for me, following me around, randomly popping up behind me or beside me if I was looking at something. I had three items in my hand I was going to purchase, and one lady came out of nowhere asked if I had been there before and took the items out of my hand and said," I’ll hold these up front." I will never ever step foot in that place again. They can keep their over-priced items and judgmental bougie attitudes and I will take my money to the 3 boutiques I know I am welcome at and that appreciate my business.
After reading some of the reviews this is obviously a...
Read moreHorrible place to shop if you are Hispanic or just a minority in general. They treat you with the most bigoted attitude disguised as aggressive hospitality. Was in there less then 10 minutes. I saw a 50% off sign outside so I went in since I was browsing for my birthday tomorrow. I was visited by employees at least 4 times. Every time I picked something up. I was just looking to browse. I told one of them. She still kept standing behind me while I was looking at items. Just looking at me. Kept on asking me why I was there. What I was looking for. I told her my birthday is tomorrow and I was browsing for something for me. She did tell me happy birthday. Which I guess. Thanks, but no thanks. After repeating myself I’m just browsing that I don’t need help they keep on pushing on what I was looking for. All sales final hopefully they are moving or something but for sure will never spend my business there. First and last time I step foot in that place. They made me feel uncomfortable and unwanted. All I wanted was to buy me a birthday gift for myself and enjoy a me day. I left. I ended up going to James...
