Bill Miller BBQ — Restaurant in Corpus Christi

Worth the read! Small portions, horrible sauce, not bbq but more steamed meat with liquid smoke. I will not ever eat here. I tried today but what I got was not BBQ. When I received my plate all the meat was smothered in a broken watery tomato liquid like sauce that is supposed to be bbq sauce. Texture of sauce was wrong, color was wrong, flavor was wrong, consistency way off. I was going to just pull the meat out after fishing it out of what looked more like a soup than a sauce. Brisket 2 pieces, 4-5 small pieces of sausage that looked torn apart not cut. Brisket had zero smoke ring, had zero bark tried very small piece and it was not enjoyable. It appeared to be steamed and not smoked. I took plate back and told employee that I was disappointed in the plate and didn’t expect it to be drenched in sauce. To which she replied “we put bbq sauce on our bbq” I told her “if you had real bbq you only compliment the meat with the sauce not mask the meat flavor”. Was going to have them re-plate it but decided just to get refund and leave. It could have been my perception but the employee had a tone about my displeasure. It seemed part passive aggressive, snooty, with pinch of disdain. Like she took it personal that I know food and since I didn’t want theirs it was a personal insult. That could also just be my perception. All of that said. In my opinion, not real bbq, horrible sauce, low value $18 for 2 undersized meat portions. Didn’t try anything else since...

I can't believe that a brisket taco comes with 2 half of a half slices of brisket and half of a half of a half. Guess the half of a half of a half is not the whole half of a half since you only charged the .80¢. This will be the last time I come by this location at least the other Corpus Christi location on Leopard /Nile Drive they at least put 3 whole slices or at the very least 2 slices that fill and make the tortilla appear like a $2.80 taco. You know I understand that the price of everything is going up but at the same time you raise your prices you could at least try to keep your loyal customers happy. I wish I could've posted a picture of this brisk cut the brisket out taco then you could at least see my point. You guys are really need to talk with the owner of this franchise and let him know he needs to treat his customers a little better instead of filling his pockets up with the little pickles and onions that he didn't even bother to put in with my tacos or at the very least some BBQ sauce. Never again and I suggest you drive to the Bill Miller's location a few miles down the road or try another...

Boy working the drive through window lacked customer service skills. I understand that they were busy, but his need to try to rush through taking an order and giving you your order meant that it's a good thing I checked my food before I left. I did not receive any barbecue sauce with my orders and it's not the first time this has happened. I also didn't receive one entire meal. And when I ask for plastic wear and napkins, I was given one fork and one napkin, even though I have food for 4 people. After having to get the kid to the window for the third time to get my order complete and correct, I asked for the manager and was told that they were "pretty busy right now and it was going to take some time", instead of being asked why I would want to speak with the manager or what they could do to make my experience any better. The last 3 occasions I've been here have it been less than what I would expect from a restaurant I use to enjoy. The bad service and high prices will make me think twice before choosing Bill Miller's in...
