Lakeside Lanes — Local services in Cortez

We went to bowl today for my girlfriends little brothers birthday. The place is definitely run down and unappealing from when we first walked in (and I’ve been homeless before so it takes a lot to turn me off to a place). Anyway, We stood at the counter for about 20 minutes. The guy at concession stand was nice, but he wasn’t able to get us a lane because he didn’t have the computer access or whatever.

He says the other guy is in the back and will be right out. So we got sodas and deep fried mushrooms while we waited (which were really good, although the soda was flat, we didn’t mind). After 20 minutes the guy finally came out of the back. Didn’t greet us, just logged onto the computer and said, “yeah I don’t have any open lanes.” That’s it. So we paid for our fried mushrooms and flat soda and left. Seemed like they were having a lot of problems with the lanes too. I’d recommend just finding something else to do. Wow. Where to start!?! The world class facilities or the outstanding customer service!?! Maybe the reasonable pricing and 5 star cuisine? Or not. Dickish employees with the personality and people skills of a soiled dish rag, a bowling lane that looked like something resurrected from a dystopian, Mad Max type reality and pricing fit for a hipster Lucky Strike in you typical Douchetown USA. I'd give zero stars if I could. We have tried 3 times last summer to go bowling. Called to verify openings before going. Doors are locked and sign is off once we get there. Nobody ever opens the doors. Just today our son's friend had a birthday party reservation, scheduled a month ago, kids and everyone shows up and DOORS ARE LOCKED AND WHILE OLACE IS CLOSED AGAIN!!! we all called and nobody opened the doors still, but their excuse over the phone was nobody had anything scheduled.
