Summary: this place is not open when they say they are. Even if you have an appointment for a donation drop-off.
I made a donation appointments on their website and got a confirmation email. The email said if I am not contacted, that my appointment was good to go--a no new is good news type thing. My appointment was never cancelled and I was not contacted, so I packed the furniture I had to donate and drove over to the restore. However, I found a note on their door saying they closed for the day and if you had a donation appointment to come back at "any time" they are open. First off, what is the point of making an appointment then? Second, it is a blatant disregard of peoples' time. There were 3 other cars in the parking lot thta were in the same situation.
I am very disappointed in this restore location and drove to Goodwill to drop off my donations. The employees there were kind and fast. I will not be supporting this location...
Read moreI've supported this place and all the other habitats in several different counties across the state of Oregon. I was however offended that the last few times I've been there including this one in Philomath on Philomath Boulevard they're trying to sell used items for close to the same price as brand new. if I wanted to spend the price and buy something brand new well I would I can afford it I can do that it's not a problem. However I've always thought that it's just as good to have a $5 light as a $30 light if they both turn on when you flip the switch. so I don't need a brand new $30 light I could buy something at the habitat store for Less. If you've shopped around in there lately you'll discover that used items are not priced with a used price. if you're not selling it and you're not moving product you're not making any money you're not doing anything good for...
Read moreCame back into this location after many months since moving away because I love it!
Unfortunately I feel I have to mention that this time, while I was trying to ask an employee a pricing question, there was another employee in the back yelling at his coworker. He was really berating her, very very loudly. I understand having a bad day but it is unacceptable to create an unsafe work environment for your coworkers. I heard the employee being yelled at calling him David.
The employee who helped me, Alisa, was the absolute sweetest. She and I walked outside away from the yelling, and she helped me price all my items.
I will come back because this place has always been wonderful. I hope David is talked to and reminded that he is expected to help create a safe work environment, and a safe environment for...
