Was excited to try the food here, heard good things from someone who goes there regularly.
When we arrived it was not busy, 2 other tables seated with 2 people at each. One table had was complaining about food being undercooked and they left completely full plates behind when left left. I didn't think much of it, thought maybe they were overreacting.
We order our food and wait. As we're waiting, I overheard and saw the waitress boxing up and selling the leftovers from someone else's table to a completely separate customer.
Kinda weird, but sure you can make sense of it if they didn't touch the food, whatever.
Our food arrives and the bbq pork fried rice and chicken chow mein was lukewarm. The beef+broccoli was hot, but bland.
The rice wasn't spectacular, no big deal, but the chicken chow mein tasted like it had been pulled out of the garbage and recooked.
The meal was very underwhelming and it took everything in me to try to keep the food down. Neither of us could finish our 1st servings on our plates before we had to stop eating the food because it just didn't taste right.
When we brought up our concerns and your we didn't want to be expected to pay full price that we didn't even was 10% of, the same waitress who brought us our food was checking us out as well, she fought us on paying 50% which could be understandable if we did eat more or at least 50% of our plates, or if we just didn't enjoy it, and I have paid for meals in the past I haven't enjoyed, but this was food that was not customer serving grade quality.
She got pissed and told us she was going to close the restaurant and stop doing Chinese food altogether because of this interaction. Sure I get it, maybe she was having a bad day, but that is very unprofessional.
We offered to pay 25% which was fair, and after explaining why we should only pay 25% she finally agreed, but got pissed and basically told us to GTFO and told us we didn't have to pay.
Not trying to talk bad about this company or location, just sharing...
Read moreMe and my sister came here two weeks ago and had such a great experience. We left over a 20% tip cause we were so satisfied. Came back for lunch again and I had found a hair in my food. Me being me, I try to decipher was that mine? As I showed my sister the hair (my hair is very long and this hair was short and scraggly) she dropped it so I had no way to show the server. On top of the hair, I had gotten broccoli and beef and the beef tasted like fish and the chow mein was very salty. I didn’t complain about anything except the hair. I wasn’t mad either- but I am not paying for hair in my food period. I could see how this would look to the server not having any “proof”, but we were dining right in front of a camera and if it was really a big deal they could’ve played the tape back to see if I was lying. Instead of apologizing, she took my plate and came back saying everybody in the kitchen wears hair nets and told me how long they have been in business, completely dismissing my dissatisfaction. The server came and brought my sister a to go box and took my plate and she never came back to bring the bill so as I’m waiting to pay, I thought she would bring the bill like she had with everyone else but instead waited longer with a screaming fussy 1 year old. In the end, I had to go to the front to pay and they only gave me 50% off my meal and she continued to rant as if I was lying. As I explained again I understand but it was an accident I had dropped the hair she laughed. I complied since dropping the hair was our fault but I had to cut her off mid sentence just to pay and get the hell out of there. If I was lying I would’ve ate at least half my meal and then complained. I took maybe a few bites and gave a couple bites to my toddler. If the restaurant was more understanding, I would’ve came back and given them a second chance. Never will we be...
Read moreI usually order one to two entries but tonight I decided to order dinner; pepper and salt short ribs, beef chow fun, and sausage fried rice. I always loved their pork entries regardless of how it is made. Highly recommended. They have Chinese menu and American menu. I also noticed that the price had increased by at least $1…understandable. Hands down that the best part of dinner is the short ribs! So yummy! The beef chow fun while it is tasty and the beef is really soft and cooked to perfection….the noodles however, was over cooked and the veges seems not appropriate for the dish? Oh maybe it is the way it is cut? The sausage fried rice was good but there should be some sort of green like ginger scallions… too plain but still good. Spent $34 for three entries so not too bad! I would still recommend the place! If nothing else check their pork entries, you will...
