Myung Dong Tofu House & BBQ — Restaurant in Costa Mesa

Not really a person to get inspired to write reviews but for this restaurant, I felt the need and want to share how amazing this restaurant it is. First we got there early, about 15 min early to avoid lines and they opened the doors for our kids to wait inside as it started to get windy and sprinkle.

Love the location as it’s easy to get to but the parking sometimes can get packed as there are new restaurants and coffee shops in the same plaza.

The food was awesome. The gentleman that served and helped us shared about how much effort and passion his dad puts into the Seafood pancake. It’s the best I’ve had.

We were looking for a simple Korean meal after picking up my son from college when we stumbled upon Myung Dong Tofu House. My husband, three teen sons, and I were in the bibimbap mood, so we ordered different forms of it and the seafood jun. The banchan (side dishes) were so tasty and plentiful. The bibimbaps were all very fresh and tasted very homemade. The seafood jun was excellent - so yummy, crispy, and worth the wait. The service was top notch - the nicest and friendliest people!! One of my go place for galbi ribs and tofu stew! Was craving for something spicy and warm to eat after a long day! I came around 5pm and got seated right away. They took my orders right away and the owner of this place is really nice and welcoming. I really love the banchan here so delicious and authentic. The beef tofu stew also came with an egg in which you crack in the stew and let it cook. The short rib galbi was tender and full of flavors so delicious! This was definitely satisfying after a long day! Overall food and service was amazing and I will sure come back again. Thank you for your service :)
