My girlfriend and I wandered into Baccarat while shopping before Christmas. A crystal cat caught her eye and I decided to get her that for a present. I had never been in such a store before, but all the crystal artwork, statues and glassware looked amazing. I was really drawn to the glassware and decanters and dreamed of the drinks I could pour into them. The associate that helped us was named Diane and she was friendly and professional. She let my girlfriend inspect the crystal cat and handle it before buying it. A few weeks later we got a handwritten card from our purchase. So that was some excellent customer service. So I took it down there to get a smaller bottle and the man (who was kind of snooty) said ok sure we can exchange it. Then when I said just put the difference back on my card he said we don't do that. You can get a store credit. I said i don't think my husband was told that when he purchased. Then he pointed and said it's on your receipt... I am so upset about this! This is not a fair policy. Especially to the clientele purchasing...
