Horrible Horrible Customer Service, WORST experience EVER at a nail salon.
I went in to get a new set of acrylics and a pedicure at 3pm on Sunday (the same time the USA world cup game came on- I am a big fan so I was SO excited when the game was playing.)
A man named "Tom" started doing my nails and seemed very confused about what I wanted (a woman kept having to come over and explain things to him) I think "white tips with a medium pink powder and squared edges" should be pretty standard at a nail salon, I WAS SO WRONG.
FIRST of all he was 30% doing my nails 70% watching the game, SECOND of all when he had finished putting the powder on my nails and began filing I noticed 3 things: 1. The acrylic did not start at the base of my nail, it looked like I already needed a fill 2. There were holes in between the powders 3. They were not even and some were crooked. 4. There was a lot of dead skin"cuticles" sticking out around the nails When I brought this to "Tom's" attention he began talking angrily in another language and then "Tina" came to fix my nails.
Tina fixed the holes between the powder and used more powder to try and fix the crooked nails. I asked her about the cuticles because in the 15 years I have been getting my nails done this has never been a problem, she said I didn't ask for the $5 extra cuticle treatment (this was my first time here and I have NEVER heard of that charge or service with acrylics) I ended up deciding to do it because they looked HORRIBLE.
A third woman came to do this treatment and apply the top coat.
END RESULT: TOOK 1 HOUR 45 MINUTES, CROOKED NAILS, LOOKED AS THOUGH I NEEDED A FILL THE FIRST DAY, MULTIPLE CUTS AROUND MY FINGER NAILS AND LOTS OF BLOOD IN THE NAILS, NOT DONE HOW I ASKED "white tips with a medium pink powder and squared edges".
I left very unsatisfied and ended up talking to two woman in the parking lot who also had been in the salon with me and had a bad experience as well. After talking with them I decided to go back in and ask for the owners name.
They told me to call Lena tomorrow after 10am.
TODAY I called Lena explained what happened yesterday and she apologized several times and asked me to come in today to have them fixed.
I decided to give her a chance to rectify the situation and went in to the salon and she attempted to fix all the problems with my nails AND THEN she said they did not charge me the $5 yesterday for the cuticle treatment and I NEEDED TO PAY IT. Seriously?
END RESULT 2nd TRY: MORE CUTS AND BLOOD AROUND NAILS, STILL NOT SHAPED OR DONE CORRECTLY, LOOKS LIKE I RECEIVED A FILL NOT A NEW SET OF ACRYLICS, SHE FOLLOWED ME ALL THE WAY OUT OF THE STORE RAISING HER VOICE AND WISHING ME "GOOD LUCK WITH MY NAILS"(my husband and son came with me and she even shouted to him good luck with her)
HORRIBLE SERVICE, RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, NOT WORTH THE TIME, MONEY, or ENERGY wasted. NEVER NEVER NEVER again...
Read moreTHE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD AT A NAIL SALON. STAY AWAY! Firstly, I was told a full set with gel and a pedicure would only take 40 minutes, having arrived there by 3pm. I did not leave until 4:40. The man who filed my nails (I asked for a pointed tip) cut and burned me several times while filing. I told both him and the lady doing my pedicure that I had a show in Los Angeles that I needed to leave by 4pm, and they both appreared to understand. When one of ladies started painting the red tip, she added the gold line that was on the design I had showed her in the beginning, and it was not until after she painted it, that she said they had to charge an additional $3 for it. I told her that I wish she had told me from the beginning what the prices were, as I showed her the picture and she quoted me $48. As it neared 4:30 and I still had my nails stuck under the UV lights, the man doing my nails went and starting helping another customer, leaving me with one hand completely unpainted and the machine having timed out. When I expressed my concern that I was severly tardy, and needed to be out ASAP, he sloppily applied another clear gel coat and stuck my hand back in the machine. After it went off, he wiped the nails off with alcohol and sent me to the front desk to pay. They were very sticky, and fuzz from the cotton ball and my purse were both stuck all over my nails. I paid for my "services" and left a $4 tip for the woman who did my pedicure and was the one assisting me in checking out as fast as possible, the only one who seemed to register my hurry. I drove home, and upon opening my door, the index nail of my right hand flew off painfully, leaving me with my natural nail half cut off. Still in a rush, I decided that to make it to Los Angeles in Friday Rush Hour, I would have to just cut the nails all off and file the edges so that they would not appear too disgusting. In heavy traffic, I called the salon and told them what happened. The woman who answered said to come back, and I told her that I wouldn't be able to come back until tomorrow. She said that was okay. I returned the next day, and showed the woman my nails and asked that she return my money for the "manicure". She said no, because this was a service job and the only way I would be able to get my money back is if they see the broken nail and the piece as well. I told her then I want her to take the nails OFF and just give me a gel coat. I told her I paid for much more than what I am ultimately leaving with and that this was wrong. She sent another lady over and she roughly filed off the acrylic nails (of which there is still some remaining) and then hastily applied the gel coat. Safe to say, they ruined my night out, and over-charged me for the poor work they did. I will never ever return...
Read moreI don’t usually leave reviews, but I had to after today. If I could I would not even give one star to this nail salon.
I went to this nail salon for the first time to get a mani and pedi. I was on time to my appointment however they seated me 15 minutes later (no biggie). But a half an hour later I was left to ask the manager why no one was helping me. She said that she was busy with two other customers who were clearly regulars and who had come in AFTER me, so I had to wait because I did not “request” her. It doesn’t matter if a customer does not request a nail technician, if you’re appointment is at a certain time and you are waiting to have services rendered, then they should help the first customer.
She clearly did not care about my experience as she did NOT line the foot tub with plastic lining to ensure cleanliness and I could not believe she gave me two bowls of straight ACETONE to dip my hands into in order to take off my gel nail polish! First this is extremely harmful to the hands, skin, and nails but secondly she did not even take 5 minutes of her time to properly wrap my nails with a acetone cotton ball with foil paper. After 40 MINUTES of WAITING... (My appointment was at 3pm) at 3:40pm after my feet were pruned and my hands were so dry I could see the skin turned white, I gladly left. I could never give a place like this my business or time.
Short message: 1- this nail salon was probably the worst I have ever been to 2- cleanliness was not present at all 3- they were very unprofessional in communicating to me 4- they have terrible and I mean grotesque customer service for their customers
I would not give them...
