*update due to response; Trying to discredit someones review does not make my experience irrelevant or void. I did make an attempt to call about the issues. The receptionist conveyed if I was unhappy they could consult with me and go over the price. Never once did they own up to their mistakes or offer to correct.I was respectful to not mention the stylist name. After the initial terrible service why would I return to fix anything with this salon. If this was something they were not comfortable doing they could have simply stated this was out of their skill set and recommended a more experienced hairdresser...a business should see this as an opportunity to gain perspective and insight of where they may need to improve and perhaps provide more training, but unfortunately this should not be at the expense of the clients hair. The reply from this business is a form of intimidation which is the tone I received when I called. Oh and I forgot to mention they overlapped the bleach which caused a lot of breakage around the frame of my face and top of my head.
Very dissapointed. I was charged a high price for a color balayage which should have been just 2 colors. I ended up with scattered highlights (almost none in the back and middle or on just one side) 3 different shades of blonde, including yellow, orange and blotches of my natural color that was missed as well as some roots completelymissed. Same with the dark.. Some strands start off one shade, midway another, and ends a third completely different shade. This is more in the back so perhaps they thought I wouldn't notice. There are so many other issues with the color 😫This place was recommended from a friend that had extentions, maybe color is not their fortay. I did go to another salon after for a consult and explained what I had originally wanted... they would need to do a full color correction and redo everything😕extremely dissapointed not just on the time and money wasted but most importantly on the damage I caused to my hair by going there. I went to this salon knowing it was going to be more and got misconstrued in thinking they charge more because their services are better. I could have paid only 10% of their price and had a better outcome elsewhere. This is literally the worst color job I have had😔 and the most expensive. I will not...
Read moreWell, I'm pretty disappointed with glamor locks. I paid $700 for two rows of wefts including install, now this high price doesn't cover cutting or blending the extensions at all. The first install they were put so high up you could see the bulk from the weft sticking out at the top of my head. When I returned to get them moved up, they charged me $200 to completely remove them, brush out your hair, and then move up and resew (exactly the same process they were first installed.) Which leads me to believe that I paid a total of $500 for the hair alone my first time?! Second time they were installed, they were put in much lower and the corners of the weft row were left unsewn so I had little corners poking up through my hair that I constantly had to rearrange and hide. I also had partial highlights redone, I had orange spots left in my hair. I was seen 45 mind after my scheduled appt and was clearly rushed through with no attention to how the end result came out. Glamourlocks plays the image of a high end salon and certainly charges their customers accordingly , but it certainly doesn't transfer into their quality of work. I am writing the review now in January after my last appt in Oct because I just went to get a trim, and discovered more orange spots underneath and behind that I wasn't...
Read moreSuch a beautiful studio. Very clean. The scheduling process was stress-free. The consultation was free. Marissa answered all of my questions and walked me through the entire process. My biggest concern was not damaging my own hair. My hair is very fine. I had been using the clip extensions previously, but wanted something more permanent. I did a HEAVY amount of reaearch. I was very cautious after reading some nightmare stories online. Glamour Locks has a unique method that can attach the extensions without the damage. Some sources say that the tape method won't damage your hair... not true. The keratin bead...same. My appointment took about 2 hours. They give you the option to watch movies during the process. I got 22" attached to my shoulder length hair. Always choose longer when given the option. It's been about 3 days and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them! Other than some mild itchiness at my scalp, there is no pain or pulling. I never realized that my hair had such power over my confidence levels. I feel transformed! It's a "good hair day" everyday now. The price is scary, yes. Maintenance is costly too. For me, it's...
