Absolutely deplorable, dishonest, and misleading customer service - start to finish.
My mom needed to reduce her bills as she is living on a fixed income, so we got her setup with YouTube TV and convinced her she could live without a landline phone. We called to cancel her cable and phone service and the spectrum employee incessantly badgered her about the decision to downgrade the account. This person was also unable to make the necessary and changes, so she was put on hold for a good long while.
When finally offered the chance to get a call back, we accepted, but never got that call back. Called again the next day - back to the run-around. Same deal, same result. No call back. We were, however, informed by the agent we spoke to that if we changed the account to my name, we could get the new customer price. Great!
Now, while we were dealing with these tools, we were first quoted "no more than $65" for 100mbps service. Then were told we could just switch the account holder, then - well, when we were FINALLY able to reach someone who could ACTUALLY do something, we were told no, you cannot switch the account holder, and the price was now $75 per month! Aside from that, she was charged a $10 installation fee (WTF for?!?!?!)
Today I found out that she was able to get the BS "Installation fee" removed, but was charged for an additional full month of service, DESPITE having tried to cancel before the new cycle started, but not ever receiving a call back or being able to reach someone who could perform the simple task of cancelling her cable and phone service! On top of this, it seems she was also charged for the internet only service for the same month! I'll tell you what - this is fraud, and it will be reported.
It's an absolute crime that these companies are allowed to run a service monopoly then pull this kind of scam on older people who don't have the ability to comprehend all of the numbers and info being hurled at them.

Read moreThe only reason why I give this view one star is because there's a very nice lady in here with curly hair and I'm sorry I forgot her name but she was very helpful after Was completely ripped off by another employee at the store he convinced me to pay off my iPhone and then he insisted on logging me out Of anything That I could use to protect my device from being stolen which it was at this store because I chose to switch to spectrum from T-Mobile he insisted that I paid my iPhone 15 pro off and trade it in When I switch to the upgrade anytime plan which this makes no sense that's the reason why it's an upgrade anytime plan you don't need to have the device paid down any certain amount you pay extra to be on this plan and it's the only advantage that it offers but this boy that worked the store who has long Blonde hair and Pretends to be very helpful and knowledgeable about their system yet he's very sneaky the way that he Tricked me into basically giving my iPhone to him because when I came back later and wanted to exchange it for a different device because I did not like the device I was given and you have 14 days to do an exchange or return and the phone is supposed to still be in the store in case you want to return it and get your device back but they had no record of my device and there was no reason for them to because the plan that he put me on made no sense for me to pay It off and then give it to them to get on the upgrade anytime plan basically he took my iPhone 15 pro and there was no record of it...
Read moreVery poor service and lack of concern for item needed. Store was empty with customers yet they still seem preoccupied with other concerns. I was looking for a remote cover for my mother. It was told to me about by the Spectrum cable guy that it is helpful for elderly customers. Also I called and was told I could pick up a remote cover in a Spectrum store. I went to the Newport Blvd store on Sunday evening 4/14, and was looked at like I was crazy for even mentioning the item, as the guy working repeatedly looked confused, shouted across the store to ask another co-worker. Both had never heard of it, nor was willing to help me figure out how to get one. They claimed to have no access to other stores inventories, could not help me order one online, nor could help me locate/call another Spectrum store. All I got was “Spectrum is weird man, just try calling again.” Also “Maybe that driver was from LA County.” Spectrum is a stand out company where their own employees call it a “Weird company” and every county offers something different!
