I’d been curious about Testosterone Replacement Treatment for several years. At 58, I’d heard good things from friends. But, had apprehensions based on years of negative comments from (mostly) people, who had never actually tried it. My friends who had, had nothing but positive things to say
As luck would have it, I happened to meet someone who worked for LaSara, at my gym. Every once in a while, I’d ask him questions, he’d answer them, and then I’d do nothing about it. I just couldn’t find a good reason to try. Afterall, I work out twice a day, have no problem adding muscle mass, losing body fat, or with energy. Nonetheless, I was still intrigued
About a month ago, after 6 months of asking questions, getting answers and still doing nothing, I finally decided to pull the trigger. The crew at LaSara handled everything. Scheduled the initial Testosterone Test at a local facility, went over the results, with me, and recommended a protocol that matched my end goals. Which, had more to do with long term mental/cognitive benefits of higher T levels, than the physical advantages(to be honest)
I’m only 5 weeks in, so am just at the beginning edge of being able to feel any changes. The primary of which is mental state. It’s subtle, but noticeable. And, the best possible description is that I simply feel more positive - about everything. Which is fairly hard to describe. But, it’s there.
Which is weird (for me). Because, I’m a generally upbeat person. No depression, or lows. Even when life gets complicated, I’ve always been able to find some silver lining to focus on on. And yet, it’s now clear that there was a little….something, weighing down on my perception. Like I said, it’s hard to explain. But, you know when it’s not there, anymore
As for the physical effects, I can’t say it’s made a radical difference (yet). As should be expected, the first 3 weeks, nothing. Then, at the start of the 4th week, I suddenly was able to lift at the level I was at 3 years ago, before my knee injury. Which, surprised both myself and my lifting partner.
To be clear, this wasn’t anything like taking steroids strength. It was simply having the confidence to not doubt my body. The knee injury, long wait for surgery, and recovery had instilled a background fear of injury in my head. Even though, there was little to no danger of that. The TRT “positivity” simply allowed my body to do, what it could, without the self-doubt holding it back
That doesn’t mean I can go in every day, and lift to my max. Muscle fatigue is going to happen , anytime you lift hard. And, I have no desire, to max every day. But, it is nice to not doubt my body.
Anyway, I’ve I’ve said, this is still early in the process. The LaSara crew have made it clear most of the benefits take 3-6 months, even 9 months to be fully realized. That’s ok, im pretty happy with positive outlook, alone. Can’t wait to see what else comes along, with it
If you’ve made it this far, in my overly long review, you are clearly considering TRT. My advice, give LaSara a call, see if it’s...
Read moreI recently started receiving shockwave therapy for my chronic bacterial prostatitis, a condition I have been dealing with since 2016, which worsened in 2020. Despite trying various antibiotics, I have been struggling with recurring bacteria that are resistant to treatment. In my search for alternative options, I came across an online ad for Lasara Medical group, offering shockwave therapy.
Having completed four sessions so far, I haven't noticed any immediate changes in how I feel. However, I remain optimistic based on the information provided by Fernando, the Therapist administering the treatment at Lasara Medical. Fernando has been incredibly professional throughout the process, taking the time to explain the therapy and its expected timeline. According to him, noticeable results can typically be seen around six to eight weeks.
I'm pleased with the level of service I have received from Lasara Medical. The treatment process itself is simple and straightforward. Before applying the shockwave tool, Fernando applies a jelly to the area and then carefully administers the waves towards the prostate. His attention to detail and commitment to explaining the procedure have given me confidence in the treatment.
While I haven't experienced any improvements yet, I understand that shockwave therapy often requires patience and time to deliver results. I appreciate that Fernando has set realistic expectations for the treatment timeline, and I am hopeful that I will see positive changes in the coming weeks.
Overall, I am satisfied with the service and care provided by Lasara Medical and Fernando. I would recommend considering shockwave therapy for chronic bacterial prostatitis to others who have exhausted other treatment options. With the support of knowledgeable professionals like Fernando, I believe this therapy has the potential to provide relief and improve the quality of life for individuals...
Read moreWas supposed to have an initial consultation with Cody. Before we even go into it, I asked where lab draws are done because I couldn't imagine one even being close to me. He said Quest Diagnostics and most people have one within 5 miles. Apparently, he thinks everyone lives in a big city. He found one an hour away and said he wasn't sure if they would take a lab order from them. He said he would call and call me right back. An hour later he still hadn't called back. We had a consultation scheduled, and didn't even really start it, so I called back myself. Someone else answered, and said Cody is calling other people. My consultation was supposed to be 20 minutes, so obviously would have still been my appointment time, and if he wanted to handle other calls, common courtesy would be to tell me that, so I wasn't sitting here for an hour, wasting my night, waiting for his call. Absolutely terrible customer service. Update: literally everything they mentioned in their response is a lie. This was actually an exact representation of my experience. Why would i waste my time waiting for a call back, or call back myself, if he said 24 hours? We also did not even start the consult. He told me nothing about the company. I told him about my previous experience on TRT, and he seemed disinterested after that. Hopefully they record calls and this so called management team who wasn't even there, can actually hear what was said. What a...
