I follow this store on their facebook after moving away from its location. I saw a Louis Vuitton bag posted that I was interested in. I had never bought a second hand bag before so I called the store and asked about how they authenticate items and what the date code was in the bag. The woman I spoke with told me that they are very knowledgeable on authentic bags and they have been doing this a long time and can tell easily. She read me the date code and further explained its condition. I ordered the bag. They shipped quickly and when opening the bag I immediately notice the dust bag is a different color than the dust bags I got when purchasing directly from the LV store. I immediately look at the date code and notice that it only has one letter (they are supposed to have 2 that tell you where the bag was made). Everything I read online says it should have 2 letters. This is the same date code that the woman read to me on the phone. I would think an expert would know it should have 2 letters. I watch about 10 unboxing videos on youtube of the exact bag I had purchased. The date code was in the wrong spot and the bag I had bought had a different zipper than all the bags in the videos I watched. I knew then that I had been sold a fake bag.

I called the store and they asked me to send pictures, I did. I guess she sent them to someone else and called me back to say they were also questioning its authenticity and immediately offered to reimburse me for the bag. She was apologetic but had I not done my little bit of research I would have paid $1,000 for a fake bag. I am definitely not an expert on LV and I figured out this was a fake within 20 minutes of youtube videos. I feel taken advantage of and let down by the integrity of this store. The positive here is they did reimburse me. I was given a shipping label to ship the bag back to them, which I did. I was offered another bag with $100 discount which I did not accept.

The newest owner of CLR, Jeanine, is fantastic. She is so passionate about authentic luxury goods. After purchasing some luxury bags and wallets from an auction app, I brought them into CLR to resell, and Jeanine informed me that she didn’t think all of the items were authentic (which crushed me). Instead of turning me away, she worked diligently with her third party Authenticator to confirm what was and wasn’t authentic. She remained in constant contact with me and empathized with me when learned that certain items weren’t authentic.
