Hooked On Books — Local services in Cottonwood

This place is like another world tucked inside Cottonwood. I had a great experience at this book shop; in stark contrast to many of the other businesses in Cottonwood which astonishingly remain open. I was greeted and guided through the semi-labyrinthine stacks to the collection of books I requested. I was able to browse for at least forty minutes without being harassed, which truly made me feel comfortable in the store. I was offered help at the beginning of the visit, and the owner let me know where I could find him if I needed anything else. In addition to books, they also have a small selection of art supplies, and a few tables of vinyl records.

Softcover books were priced at half the printed retail, and hardcover books had their prices marked. I was able to find some really great deals on a couple of books I wanted, and some I didn't know I wanted. Every time I travel anywhere, the first thing I do is look for used bookstores nearby. This one popped up on our drive through Jerome and Cottonwood today, so I stopped. I am SO glad I did. What an awesome shop, with a HUGE collection of books to browse through. A book lover’s paradise, honestly.

The pricing is more than fair, and the owner, Larry was an absolute joy to chat with as I was checking out with my purchases. He even asked if he could pray for me before I left, which just made my entire day. He’s definitely got a loving and generous soul.

I love this book store. ✨It's a hidden gem ✨ The actual name is unclear as it says something different online than on the sign outside of the door. But anyway the gentleman that owns this place is very dedicated to his store. The best prices are on paper back books. He only takes cash and if you didn't bring enough cash he'll work with you.
