+JMJ Saturday 8 October 2022 This is a much anticipated visit to dine. I was greeted by a young lady whose smile and gentle demeanor made for a sincere and warm welcome. Though all menus were offered: lunch, main meals, drinks, the waitress pointed out to me that my meal selected from the main menu was actually featured on the lunch menu for their lunch pricing (if I could read 😏). Anyway, the side salad was made of crisp vegetables with a light dressing. Couldn't identify the type of dressing, but it was so delicious, I thought of licking the plate to get every drop! 😉 My order of Pad Thai arrived shortly thereafter (quick service.) First time ever eating this what I believe is a very traditional Thai meal. Scrumptious! Loved the chopped peanuts and the sprinkling of cilantro over the noodles dressed in a sweet sauce. The chicken pieces were an added accompaniment. And, to finish off the meal, I ordered Thai tea. That was a first too. What a beautiful drink and yummy. That drink could be considered a dessert. Lastly, the atmosphere is so serene with very soft background music. Very pleased overall with this dining experience at Mai Thai. Highly...
Read moreWas not able to eat here so I cannot speak for the food; however, after a long hospital shift last night we walked in the door at 8:20pm, very aware that they close at 9:00. Upon entering, we saw about 5-6 tables still eating, so we figured it was cool to wait to be seated. Shortly after entering, a cook came to the front and was clearly unhappy with our presence "so close" to closing. Not even a few seconds after, a waitress walked up and said: "Is the kitchen open still? We've got a couple of last-minutes." The waitress gave us a nasty look, so we chose to go elsewhere.
I am slightly appalled by this encounter. I understand that Cottonwood is a small town, but we walked in the door 40 minutes before closing. I worked in the hospitality industry for over 10 years and have never witnessed this sort of behavior or attitude. I will never eat at this restaurant and I hope that this review will prevent others from doing so. We went elsewhere, were received with a smile, and given great service.

Read moreDo you want to be treated it like an animal? Welcome to Mai Thai on Main ⭐️ The lady threw the bill on top of our plates at 2:30 because she said she wanted to go home. ( They close at 3). I thought it was a joke/ prank . No, she didn’t have manners at all. Why be in hospitality business if you hate it? Lady, we have evolved. We are not primates. Quality food is the same like Mac Donald’s tons of sugar and salt. Also, it was mold on the walls which is pretty odd for being in Arizona. Mold while I eat yikes! Awful service, terrible food. We are locals, old town cottonwood has many better choices. We only went here because it was close from our son’s baseball game. We have heard the bad reputation but we want it to give it a chance HUGE mistake. Stay in the animal kingdom Thai gross...
