If you are a AMC Stubs Premiere Member you should find another theaterš¤. We love AMC, been to hundreds throughout the US, and this was the first time ever that we experienced such bad attitude, unprofessionalism, and inconsistency to the key benefits of being a Stubs Premiere Member.
My husband and I along with our two children purchased tickets to the 615pm showing this evening (15th) 'A Wrinkle In Time'.
We loved the interior and the customer service from the other associates except for a particular associate who worked the concession (there were two assiciates. One was much younger and seemed brand new. The associate that was horrible seemed to be in charge. When we left after the movie, she was still working the concession). Unfortunately, we were unable to get the unprofessional girl's name because she refused to give us her time.
First off, there was a long line. We were forced to stand in one line with everyone else and almost missed the movie intro because the theater did not have the Exclusive Premiere Service line that allows members to bypass such lines. Why would you not be prepared to have this service at all times like the other AMC theaters? Especially on nights with specials such as tonight?
Secondly, the associate that seemed new had no idea how the Premiere reward card worked and it's rewards. Thus, when she requested assistance from her coworker in concession, that coworker was not clear and was very irritated and did not speak nicely to her in front of other customers. She was also very snippy with us.
Third, when we asked to receive our refill in advance (they always fill a plastic bag for you to take into the theater if you want), the new associate did not know of such bag. She asked her coworker. This rude coworker rolled her eyes at my family and said there were no plastic bags. She said she only had extra tiny popcorn bags. I asked again, but to be ignored. I asked one more time....and then by MAGIC, the rude associate went into her cabinet below the register and pulled out a bunch of the refill plastic bags!!!! Why the dishonesty?! Is there a popcorn shortage?
This was the worst AMC we have ever been too. Managers of this theater,...Please abide by the benefits you promise to your Premiere Members. Why are we paying for membership when we do not receive such services???
In addition, hire people with smiles, customer service, and knowledgeable about the rewards card before putting them out in the front...that is not just a diservice to your clients but also to your team. There is much improvement that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at this theater. To my disbelief, I was forced to use a kiosk to purchase tickets, even though there were staff members at the ticket counter literally sitting on the back counter, 2 of them. I asked the ticket taker if I could go to the counter instead of the kiosk and they asked if I was paying with cash or card. I said card, which is when I noticed there was a card fee (or āConvenienceā fee as the kiosk called it) for buying my own ticket at the the theater - not online. So I am being charged extra for the privelage to use a machine to pay for something that a few years ago was handled by a person and without the extra fee.
The ticket prices were already higher than what I'm used to paying at another major theater chain only 15 minutes away, and also doesnāt have a bogus extra fee.
It's outrageous that I have to pay more to use a self-service machine. I donāt pay a convenience fee at the grocery store self checkout, or at Wal-Mart and Target self checkout. And itās even more insulting that the only way to avoid this fee is to subscribe to their membership program, which costs even MORE money! This feels like a penalty for not signing up for their subscription, rather than a legitimate "convenience" fee.
To add insult to injury, the logic of making me pay a "convenience fee" so that you don't have to pay wages is appalling. You're essentially making extra income while paying for less workers and hours. Replacing humans with machines, and generating extra money to do so.
Do better.
This whole experience felt like a blatant money grab and has significantly lowered my opinion of this theater. I was trying this location for the 1st time because I have recently moved and it was close, but the extra 10 minutes to go to the competitor vs the customer service I received from the ticket person at the front and the kiosk experience is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe only above average experience at this location is the Dolby Cinema. The laser projection quality and sound immersion is truly amazing and worth every penny. Seats in the Dolby cinema are comfy and spacious. Some of the seats have broken recliner controls which is disappointing.
IMAX is run down and felt like a regular theater with a different aspect ratio. Seats are worn out and the aisles are so narrow you have to stand up every time someone needs to get past you. The people sitting behind me kept hitting the back of my seat on accident. Sound was pretty good. IMAX is really in need of an update on the projector and seating arrangement.
Regular auditoriums have the standard AMC recliners. Some recliners are VERY worn out. There were a few recliners I saw that were peeling so bad you could see the foam underneath. It makes me hesitant to buy seats in these auditoriums for fear of getting one of these seats. They still use old lamp projectors which leaves you with a subpar image compared to laser. Sound is good. 3D movies are the only good part of the regular theaters.
Concessions are cramped and why is there no pickup option? They only offer seat delivery for advanced concession sales which costs extra.
Overall, definitely worth it for Dolby Cinema if available. Itās not even a debate between the other theaters. The place really needs to upgrade to laser projection in all the auditoriums. Seats that are falling apart need to be replaced. The old projectors and seats are definitely showing their age⦠and have been for the...
