I come here every week because the produce stays better for so much longer than the produce I get at other stores. I also started getting my cheese and deli meats here, as well as some of their rolling variety of frozen goods. They often have frozen schnitzel, which is my favorite extra protein on days when things didn't go quite as planned.
I love that they have carts with coins, because it really promotes people actually bringing them BACK so they can get their quarter back. People either love it or hate it, but I think it's a brilliant idea.
This IS a store where you have to bring your own bags, but they will often also have boxes that you can use to put your stuff in (kind of like at Costco or BJs). They also sell recyclable paper bags, and reusable bags.
The bathrooms are also always clean, which is something I very much appreciate. Each one only has the capacity for one person at a time, so you may have to wait if there's a lot of people. I suggest coming in the afternoon, or during a weekday if you can.
Everything is so cheap too, which I love because it helps me get out of my comfort zone more often. I feel less bad "wasting" something because I don't like it since it's never too expensive. I've found a lot of new things I like because of this, and as somebody who struggles with eating new things I can't recommend it highly enough!
All in all, I love this store and I come here every week because of that. :) Please support...
Read moreALDI is such a unique refreshing grocery store. It's small enough to not feel like an overwhelming shopping experience and big enough to have a good variety. Some people turn up their noses at ALDI; they see it as a low class grocery store. However, those people don't the high class and delicious foods you can find at there if you really look at what they have to offer. I have gotten some bought some exotic cheeses, breads, smoked salmon, pastas, sauces, and other normally expensive items for some really affordable prices.
Their cart system is the best of all. You deposit 25 cents to unlock it from the chain system and when you return it cart chain you get your 25 cents back. It's genius. No carts rolling all over the parking lot, two miles from the store, slamming into your car; why don't the likes of Walmart and other American owned stores follow suit?
Also you have to buy the recycled and paper plastic bags. The prices are reasonable and the bags are reusable many times over. RecycIable bags and making shoppers rally the carts, I think that's how ALDI keeps their costs low.
This location is pretty decent. The staff is helpful and friendly for the most part. The store is fairly clean, but sometimes it's messy. This location tends to be more crowded at certain times. The wait times can be long and slow. They seemed to be...
Read moreI wish I remembered my cashier from Monday night because I would really like to call her out by name. She deserves all the praise in the world and some. I'm not joking. If Aldi isn't paying her 6 figures, she is being unpaid. I feel like everytime I go in there she is my cashier. Always at night it seems and even at closing time she is still as helpful and pleasant as can be. They were locking up Monday but she let to regulars run in and grab a couple items real quick. That's going above and beyond for your customers. I have been shopping there for years and always go to her line because I know she's the best. She was even sick at one point and in the hospital but she recovered and returned to work exactly the same helpful and kind person as before. Aldi is lucky to have her. And whatever manager reads this, I know I can't remember her name but I know you know who I'm talking about. She was the only lady on the register at 8pm on Monday evening. Give her a raise, and a huge holiday bonus. She deserves it. And treat her perfect as she does to her customers. You will be hurting big time if you ever lose her as an employee. She is irreplaceable. This store use to be the closest to my house but anymore since I moved but as long as she's employed at this location, I will continue to drive the extra distance to for the...
