I have been a customer of Kramer’s Market since I moved into town, visiting occasionally with my service dog and sometimes without, this market is walking distance to my apartment and sometime just walking my dog I remember that I need something and I go there with her that’s is one of the reasons I don’t have her service vest with her all that time. Initially, there were no issues when I walk in with my dog when told that only service dogs were allow is when I showed the necessary documentation for my service dog.
However, a few weeks ago, during extremely hot weather (70+ degrees Fahrenheit), my service dog was not wearing her vest. When I entered the store, Tom the owner come up to me insisted that I leave the premises with my dog, I told him that she is a service dog and offers to show the documentation. He refused to acknowledge it and forced me to leave, I left my dog outside and just got what I needed.
On a subsequent visit, to avoid any problems entering the market, my dog’s vest was in my backpack, I completely forgot to put it on her when I entered the store I was distracted on my cell phone and Tom the owner came up to me and He then said, “We already had this conversation.” And told me to leave I took out the service vest and put it on my dog. He still claimed she was not a service dog I offered him to see the documentation and refused to see them. I explained that she must accompany me wherever I go, and I did not leave the premises this time. And we exchange some words inside the market After I finished my shopping and left the store, Tom followed me outside, and we exchanged insults. I want to clarify that the insults were mutual. And He was trying to provoking me to hit him he kept on saying for me to hit me, I just turn around and walk away.
I have an accent when I speak, and when Tom approached me I was speaking Spanish, so I think that’s the reason why out side he kept on calling me a foreigner.
I do not want this kind of treatment to happen to others who have service dogs. Sometimes we are just walking our dogs and remember to buy something, or due to extreme weather conditions, the health my service dog is prioritized, that’s the reason the service vest is not be worn. In such cases, the necessary documentation is kept readily available on our cell phones.
I want to emphasize that my complaint is not against the supermarket or its staff, who have always treated me with respect and kindness. My concern is specifically with Tom’s racial and discriminatory behavior towards me and my...
Read moreCame to purchase a Christmas Tree yesterday. Spent 10 mins finding the perfect tree with my Fiancé, son, and newborn daughter. Being her first Christmas, we had her with us and we were excited to find a great tree! Walked in with our tag and meet the Kremers Grinch. I assume he was one of the owners as everyone else was nice as usual. Well the person before us just bought their tree and the Grinch walks up and says to me "We are not selling trees today"...... Then why did you sell him one? By the way there are other people outside looking at trees. The grinch responds and says then buy the tree, I don't care, nobody listens to Me AKA Grinch. I respond ok and proceed to buy the Christmas tree. From the Grinch story the Grinch grows a heart and comes around, not this one. Another customer in front of me buying a tree asked if anyone can come out and verify he has the right tree he just paid for and the Grinch walks back up again and scream, they can buy the tree but nobody is helping them at all. I responded again, why don't you put a sign up saying "No tree sold today" instead of having a Christmas tree for sale sign up? He respond again, you can go down the road and buy a tree if you want it today. Funny story, I usually do, but this year, I wanted to support our local store and not the grinch, but it's ok. He again in a loud tone says "If they want a tree sell it to them, nobody will help them load it, secure it, or anything" and then the Grinch walks off mad. All the employees looked scared and confused and I ask wow, is he always like this as they start to laugh. Sorry grinch, I wasn't going to let you ruin our holiday, I bought it, loaded it, and got it home to decorate after thanksgiving dinner. To the employees trying to help, thank you. I would like the Grinch to remember one thing, being an owner of a business you have a responsibility to smile and have a heart. Learn patience and EMPATHY. Happy Holidays...
Read moreI used to LOVE this place, I loved the food and the groceries. Its the SERVICE. Everyone that works here is miserable. Last several times I was here everyone was in the worst mood, so this time I just wanted to get in and out since it was 30 minutes til close and I didn't want to be a bother. I had been wondering why everyone always seemed like something was bothering them and today I just discovered it's the OWNER/MANAGER who is to blame.
I came in to grab something quick after work. A man, whom I have no idea who he is or that he works here says "Hello". I respond "Hi" and go about my business. I don't look at him which of course hurts his feelings for whatever reason. I hear another "Hi" from behind me. I wonder why this man repeated himself but just mind my business to grab the one thing I needed after work. He then goes up to the cashier and goes "Real friendly" sarcastically. I thought he was just some random jerk and then I get in line and he has the brand on his jacket! THIS GUY WORKS HERE!!! I just put my stuff back and left. If this is how he talks to customers over something petty I cannot imagine how he treats staff! Shop elsewhere. As much as I loved this place, don't support them until something changes!
I have worked at a grocery store and customer service and a skill you need to have in the industry is know how to deal with rejection when someone doesn't feel like talking to you. Most people will ignore you, so if you can't handle the heat, get out of...
