I can't say enough great things about the staff that works at the Crestwood MO location. I wish I could remember all the wonderful people that helped me on May 1, 2021, just one week ago. I know Nicole, Ryan, and Allan, but there were so many there, I'm sorry I didn't get all their names. Let me preface this with a couple facts. I'm 67 years old and have been a Registered Nurse in Intensive Care Units, ER's, and Arch Rescue Hellicopters for about 42 years. I had just left the Red Cross in Crestwood after giving another unit of blood, something I do every 8 weeks. Never had a problem doing this. I was in Harbor Freight for less than 5 minutes when the world turned gray black and I remember saying, I'm going to pass out. Instantly I was surrounded by these wonderful people! They got a chair and lifted me into it. Repeatedly they asked if they should call 911, but stubborn me refused. They worked with me and got me water and set me into a rolling chair so I wouldn't have to try to walk and took me to their break room. They were with me constantly for about 3 hours! Again, let me say that they continued to ask if I wanted EMS, and I refused. It's a scary and terrible feeling to have that loss of control of the world around you. I've probably seen hundreds of people pass out during my career as an RN in and out of hospital settings. I knew, however, this happened to me because of just having given blood and that I was in no danger and thus these terrific people honored my request and made sure they were available to me and and were very attentive. After about 3 hours, I was good as new, but still, they walked me to my car to be certain I was alright. My balance was steady and had no light-headed sensation. These people were great! I want to tell each and everyone of them how thankful I am for their kindhearted compassionate care. You are all...
Read moreI give it a four.... based on what you actually would buy at this store... I would give it a one on some of the quality of some of the tools.. though they are getting a bit better.. As you would know.. it is the cheap chinese manufactured goods.. if you want something to last a long time time...heavy duty.. and quality.. get it from a proper store.. and the land of the orange aprons and the blue.. is not the place either.. However for a weekend warrior..and the odd handy man.. it is just perfect.. it is cheap.. does the job.. then you can dispose of everything.. no junk laying around afterwards.. A lot of the consumables are reasonable.. Sanding.. grinding etc.. are good.. clamps are a good price.. They do have a warranty on some goods.. they sometimes balk.. or they just exchange. .depends on what side of the bed they got out that morning.. but for the cost of the item I generally find it easier just to get another one.. no love lost here.. I have topped up my workshop with goods from here that I do not use often.. or are consumables. . They have an insider club... good if you need lots of tools etc. . Worth the membership.. but once your workshop is stocked and full.. then the usual specials are good enough.. sometimes they offer free items.. they are handy at times.. I do a lot of woodwork. . So I use them monthly to pick up consumables... and the odd tool that would help me complete the project.. these are also nice tools to loan out.. that you know you will never get back.. better than losing my high quality expensive ones.. for the average person... they are reasonable.....
