Brought a Lazy Boy couch and recliner in February (6 months ago) and have an issue with my couch having a lean to it on one side. Two weeks after it was delivered I called to have someone come look at it. A guy finally came out and was here about ten or fifteen minutes and said he would order a part. Part finally came in and was put in and still did not solve the issue. Called back a couple of weeks later and they no longer had anyone to do repairs. The lady said they were looking for someone and they would be in touch. Weeks later finally get a call and two young men come out to look at the couch and actually sat in it also and agreed there was an issue with the way the couch was sitting. They thought it did have a lean. They weren’t quite sure what to do to fix it so one guy took quite a few pictures and said they would send the photos in to Lazy Boy to see what they say about a fix first the issue because there is an issue with the way it sits and they mentioned something about seeing gaps in the couch. I’ve called twice because it has now been two months since the last visit and they said a part was on order but the lady didn’t know what the part was. I asked if there was a manager or owner there that I could talk to. Well I was told the manager wasn’t in and the owner is always in and out. The service after the sale has been very disappointing. I am now possibly faced with maybe having to get an attorney to handle this issue since it’s been 6 months and nothing is getting resolved. I should have never brought from this place. I was actually kind of torn between what couch and brand I wanted to purchase and the salesman had actually mentioned that I didn’t have to purchase anything that I could leave. He said I don’t want you to feel you have to buy anything. He said it in a manner that appeared he wasn’t trying to sell me anything. It did hit me later after I made my mind up that I should have told him he could keep the couch I’ll go elsewhere to purchase one. Needless to say I am disappointed in this place. No one will let you talk to a manager or the owner as if they don’t want to...
Read moreI bought 2 brand new Ashley recliners. I brought them home myself. One of the recliner was missing support blocks in both of the armrests. Mayberrys offered to fix the chair. I declined their offer because I didn’t feel that I should have a new chair repaired after only having it for a day or two. I then ordered 2 new recliners from a different manufacturer through Mayberrys. It was going to be about a 4-5 week wait for the arrival of the new chairs. I asked about keeping the first set until the new ones arrived, but I was told no, and had to return the damaged chairs within a few days. I then returned both of the chairs back to their store and I canceled the order on the new chairs because I can’t go 5 weeks without furniture. I’ve been sitting on a lawn chair. Mayberrys was supposed to have a chair for me to look at from their warehouse, but they never called me to come look at it. So I requested a full refund for the returned chairs. Mayberrys charged me a 20% restocking fee for the undamaged chair. This is a ridiculous charge, considering one of the chairs was damaged from the factory and I had to return the chairs myself. Mayberrys did not offer to pick up the chairs from my residence. I will never do business with this store again. Ironically while I was being refunded my money, another couple was also having warranty with this store as well. Save yourself the headache and...
Read moreI was greeted by a guy within a minute of walking in. I let him know I was just browsing and didn’t need any help at the moment. I’m the type of person who would prefer to look around on my own and check things out, then ask for assistance when I’m ready or have a question. This guy was definitely more the pushy salesman type. He clearly wanted to tell me about all the sales and show me options. Which would be fine…when I’m ready. He seemed immediately irritated when I said I was just browsing. He made a comment that was very rude and kind or stormed off. I am new to the area and was looking to furnish a house. I’m talking bedroom set, dining room set, living room set…a lot of furniture. After the clear attitude from this salesman all because I just wanted some time to look around on my own, I decided that this wasn’t the type of business I wanted to work with. I’m not saying I should be treated like royalty or whatever just because I’m spending a lot of money. I just expect polite and helpful people who want to give the customer a good experience and not get mad when the customer asks for a few minutes to just check...
