MANAGER CAME OUT AND ASSAULTED ME, grabbed my phone and threw it before calling the cops on me. (Kinda weird considering he’s selling stolen goods and assaulted me) I came in to grab one of my stolen discs that someone sold to them, had my full name and phone number on it, I brought 2 other discs with my name and number on them to show they match with the stolen disc they brought. Manager said he returned discs when people can prove they do in fact own them, which is why I brought in 2 other discs to verify. Manager followed me out, swinging at me trying to get my discs out of my hands and then grabbed my phone and threw it when I started recording him walking off with my disc. Tried to square up and fight me. This guy buys stolen property and does not let people come back to collect it, very angry and un professional. Pictures are of him swinging at me and grabbing my phone. DONE SUPPORTING THIS STORE. This old man has no business getting this angry when people come back to collect stolen property. EDIT* he called the cops on me after assaulting me, cops showed up to my home to question me. Cops said play it again spots is NOT ALLOWED to be selling stolen / lost merchandise. I declined to press charges as I just wanted my disc back. Been supporting this store since I first started playing frolf in 2015, but after finding him selling my discs without contacting me and trying to sell me my own disc twice, I’ll...
Read moreExcellent selection of used equipment. We' ve been going there for years, starting with hockey equipment for our oldest son. It seems like every 6 months we had to buy hockey skates as he grew. Any hockey parent can tell you that Bauer skates are NOT cheap. Over the years we probably saved $300-$400 by buying used. Then toss in hockey gloves, elbow pads, shin guards, chest protectors, shoulder pads, helmets, hockey stick tape, wax and hockey sticks. All in all, we easily saved $1,000 and that was just one sport. Also, a lot of times hockey stuff stinks, but they must vet the product thoroughly because we never had that problem.
Add baseball, girls figure skates and bags, baseball, golf and that probably came to another $200-$300. Our kids are now older and there really is no need to buy anything for them.
Over the years I tried to get my kids to try frisbee golf as there are a few courses nearby. At the time they didn't really have any interest, however I do as I am always looking to go out and enjoy the outdoors. I just bought a couple of sets so I can play against a friend, one of my kids or the wife. Their selection was rather daunting, however one of the staff plays and he was able to match up two sets of the same weight and style, so neither player can claim the other had an advantage. Oh yeah, they also sell some new equipment as well.
Its well worth it and I highly...
Read moreyeah, the staff was not very welcoming. As a current retailer, If a customer has a question that probably doesn't even match the merchandise in the sales floor, i would give some input or suggestions about that particular item just to help them be on their way. When I went in today, I asked about a bike chain and how to fix a problem when an employee kept nodding yes to everything I said just to tell me "Well, This is not a bike shop" and also seemed very rude about it. ( Very embarrassing on my end). The sales floor had bikes selling outside so I would assume they would know about bikes or bike chains. Im not a picky customer because I know retail life sucks but you don't know what everyone is going through so you have no choice but to be nice and helpful. somebody would need it someday.
Edit: i just wish there was an "Sorry, I don't know anything about bike chains" instead of nodding yes to everything I said. the employee did suggest a bike shop around the area so kudos to him for that. sorry...
