Carter's Ace Hardware of Crystal River — Local services in Crystal River

My impression of this ACE hardware in Crystal River FL is not from a single visit. It is a conglomerate review from several visits over time, and the experience has been uniquely the same overall, and have been great each time.

When I do reviews that are panoramic-that is an overall picture, so to speak, I would make concession if on an occasion an experience was bad or whatnot. I would chalk it up to someone may have had a bad day or something, because we're human.

Honestly, I haven't ever had to do that with any of the times that I visited this place.

Employees like Joe, who've helped me with hardware and with his peripheral knowledge on what I was coming in there for, was both time saving and relieving for me. Also including cashier Lynn, and others I fail to name, really do make ACE such a friendly and welcoming environment.

These team members and others there are exceedingly exceptional. You can tell these are people who care about what they do, the impressions that they give, and they take pride in what they do. Kudos to them and other staff.

I've always liked the "mom and pop" feel of these hardware stores. Obviously, their prices are a bit higher because they have to compete with the big retailers and the ones online, no names need mentioning. That is too bad, and it could be easier for some to go elsewhere, but the trade off is not getting quality service. That is not an equalized trade-off at all in my opinion.

So, person's like Joe, and service members there, have recognized that people would rather come to pay a little more to get their consistent quality customer service. Also, customer based relationships with contented consumers are developed that way. They establish a loyalty to them and familiarity.

Further, Ace has a loyalty/rewards program and discount flyers often. I hope these places continue to stay around for...

This is a dual review, so read entire review. Came to store to make a large purchase for a website item. A NICE young lady was called from the back to handle my special request. While i dont recall her name im sure it can be searched by the item #7368384 Suncast Shed. She came up and escorted us the paint kiosk to complete the order.....in steps in older man with longer gray hair. As the gal begins to check us out he interupts the entire transaction to say "they were not the next customer (meaning us)". He referred to a man who came to make a key. We had been in the store for 10 min waiting to place the order. The key guy came in while we were waiting up front for the senior cashier to assist us.

The cashier politely excused herself to tend to the man to make his key. She came back shortly and appologized for the inconvenience. She finished our order and we give her 10 stars for the professional service!!

The gray haired order man should be reprimanded. He was unprofessional and really needed to mind his own business PERIOD! He had no clue to what was happening as he was outside working on the LP gas terminal. He undermined the senior cashier and was simply unprofessional.

We are new to the area and really liked the store and the service we received, with exception of Mr. Nunya...

Terrible customer service and interaction. Purchased some screening material and tried to return it the next day. First told by the woman at the cash register we can’t take that back. Called the manager young man named Michael came over and said no can’t take that back. I asked why he changed his mind and said well we can take the aluminum channels but not the other parts. I asked why again he said I should’ve been told they’re not returnable. I said I was never told that . He said well you should’ve been and that’s the end of it he walked away in a huff then called someone on the walkie-talkie and asked me to leave the store. I took the parts drove to Ace hardware and Homosassa the people were very friendly and excepted all of the returns Probably in everyone’s best interest if Michael finds himself another job where he doesn’t have to interact with the public.
