My partner and I have been living at Cudahy Commons since September of '21 and we haven't had any issues. The process of viewing, applying, and moving in was smooth from start to finish. Courtney was prompt with replies and answered all of our questions clearly and honestly. Penny is also very courteous and great to work with.
From reading previous reviews, I was really apprehensive at first but it soon became a worry of the past once we moved in. Maintenance is quick to respond and often times I get a call back within an hour of submitting my request during business hours. I have yet to experience an emergency situation after-hours or during the weekend, so I can't speak on that portion.
(This is unlike my experience when I lived in Chicago and was paying $2500 a month for my apartment and being told I'm out of luck by our property manager on a Friday when my basement apartment was actively flooding due to heavy rain. He told us there was no one he could call to help and wanted us to follow-up with him in Monday. This was a nice apartment in Logan Sqaure, so a really desirable Chicago neighborhood to be in, similar to Milwaukee's Bayview.)
All appliances in the unit are in good, working condition and there's ample space in all rooms. The master bedrooms is definitely huge and I love it. Lots natural light coming in during all times of day. We live in the larger 2bd unit. The complex is pet-friendly as well. Noise levels are good. I don't expect complete silence in an apartment complex as we're all people with lives but the noise levels aren't disruptive at all which is the most important part. As an example, our neighbors next to us have a small kid and I never hear them, to be honest.
I work out in Menomonee Falls, so being right off the 794 is sweet for my commute to work. Also, we're close enough to Bayview and downtown being on the border of Cudahy and St. Francis without having to deal with the apartment prices of the Bayview area. And, my partner and I do travel at times, so being so close to General Mitchell is also a huge plus.
All in all, I recommend Cudahy Commons. Hope this review is helpful to those looking for a new place but are like me and read the reviews first for honest takes on the living...
Read moreIf I could get a 0/5 I would. I really thought I’d love the place. From the time first moved in there was a mistake made where my check was placed under a different apartment and they said I didn’t turn it in. The apartment itself was so nasty I was pregnant at the time and had to clean everything from the walls to the top of the cabinets etc. it just didn’t feel like a home at all. Fast forward there were things I reached out to management about to come fix. My washer and dryer - the washer had a nasty smell like old mold in it even after using washer cleaner. My dryer took 5 loads to finally dry something. My outlets in my kitchen didn’t work besides 2 and one of them burnt my microwave plug that was brand new so I had to throw it away and buy a new one. Maintenance came and “fixed” these problems they in fact didn’t none of my outlets worked besides the same two. I reached out and never got a response back. Moving on to when it was time to move out I’ve been waiting for my security deposit back they are just so unprofessional. Cudahy commons had the right forward address but peak living sent it to the apartment we clearly just moved out of. It’s going on a month and I still haven’t received my security deposit and the only reason they realized they messed up was because I reached out about it. I honestly wouldn’t recommend living here if you want to not have any problems and live stress free. Also so many extra fees it just isn’t worth it at all. Walls are also so thing I could hear the upstairs neighbor literally snoring how thin...
Read moreSo we have been living here 6 months an i have to be honest. I wasnt expecting for the unit to be clean an very comfortable but it actually was. Me and my husband were very satisfied with our purchase. Now onto the appliances this is a diff situation they are old lets just say the white isnt that white no more. We recently had a washer go out on us an it took weeks to receive the new one. The service manager Dee kept us in the loop and was very prompt on getting the new one in as soon as it was delivered to the complex. Dee actually treated the situation as if he truly cared which is sometimes rare in this world. We recently found out the dish washer is not working so will have to put in a order for new one. Its also a quiet area no place is perfect. For any future families interested in moving here i would def recommend. i cant give five stars because that would be as if everything is perfect. its not there are areas of growth needed here old appliances are a no go with the amount we pay hallways could use cleaning an Yeah no storage. Over all we are happy an we plan on staying here for a while. Penny has been great with communication an understanding situations. When it comes to apartment living we kinda expect that it wont be that great. But Cudahy Commons would get 5 stars if they updated appliances but as for the...
