Value Village | St. Francis — Local services in Saint Francis

My girlfriend and I donated a bag of items the other day and we were looking at everything to make sure we were positive about everything we were going to donate. Out of the blue a Jeep comes whipping up on us and this guy starts drilling us about what we were doing.. very rude I might add . So he informed us there are cameras and we were being recorded.. it was fine with us cuz we weren’t doing anything wrong. And then he proceeded to start taking pictures of us as well . Very uncomfortable.I feel that none of John’s actions were justified. I want to thank you John for reminding me that it’s people’ like you who make this world suck. Being nice goes along way in life, it’s free , doesn’t take much effort or time and it feels good to make people smile… sorry to say that but I guess it’s just hard for some people to be nice, idk why but first impressions are lasting impressions and i didn’t and my girlfriend didn’t say anything to hurt you or attack you in any way, shape or form . So you must like to be known as a rude person..it’s unfortunate that you suck. . You guys have lost our business and we really liked coming to Value Village. We did take the stuff back and donated then to Salvation Army. They were very appreciative of us . I don’t like talking bad of people or places that we go to but I think it was totally unnecessary how we were treated...

first off I found the staff to be very helpful and pleasant I really wanted to like this place that said reason I took 3 stars off is cause of the store itself this was the 1st time ide been in it and omg SO DIRTY! look's like the floors haven't been washed in 30 years everything had a dirty/dusty feel to them when you touched them way beyond what normal thrift items have when I washed my hands after leaving the water was black/gray and I took a shower before going so yeah just to give you a idea..the furniture was filthy shelves were kind of empty in places clothing racks however were way over full clothing arranged in colors instead of sizes? I shop plus sizes and it was a pain to try and find my size threw every color the store was SO HOT! cause they only have 2 small vents way up front barely blowing any AC im disabled and I almost passed out was covered in sweat when I left...I feel so bad for those employees with summer almost here...next time I will go to a different place and pay a little more to get a pleasant/bearable shopping experience very disappointed you need to do better VV for your customer's...

Years ago, it used to be a nice little place. Now it just run down. So run down the automatic doors and ac doesn't work. The floors are dirty and all the clothes smell like old mildew perfume. Anything they think has value and is worth anything they over price and place in a "locked" up case but you can't even see what's in the case because nothing is selling. One time, I went there to look at clothes for kids and stumbled upon used stained underwear, one pair they were trying to sell for two bucks. Also, they really upped their prices on clothes, for a Cat and Jack dress, all worn out and pilling, five dollars. The area in the back right-hand corner is nothing but unorganized dirty junk. They do for sure keep anything good that comes in first dibs for themselves. Seem like they don't rotate or get rid of anything that doesn't sell. Also bring/use cash. There is a 3.75 interest charge for using a card. You will never find toys whole or completed with pieces and the workers there give off a weird vibe. It really is a rummage left over dumping ground but nothing is worth anything or in...
