Cudahy needs a food store Their are many open spaces for Aldi's. The reason why Aldi's,Dunham's and others years ago. Is the rent increase if thousands of dollars. Aldi's wants to have a store in cudahy. They want to own not rent. But of course the city won't let that happen. Instead the city let a liquor store build next to McDonald's and the old pick n save and the loan store are storage units. Across from Martin ave and Packard are storage units. I don't think many of the people in cudahy want or need those things and other senseless things.
Driving down Packard ave is looking like a dump city. It has a bar or two every block and storage units. Why would the city ok for a liquor store next to McDonald's where kids frequent? It looks pathetic where it is at.
But further north it's nice and not dumpy for a few blocks. You have Jen's treats ,Disco round( is a great cheap place to buy CDs,games and more. You can find older to newer items and the owner is so nice and treats every customer with respect. And their are some other Little stores.
Probably the kick back's are higher for the city to have a liquor store, storage units and other senseless things that the people in Cudahy don't really need.
I like others don't understand why the city passed on Walmart, a movie house where Kohl's food used to be and more? We need a food store in cudahy again. Pick n save lost business and closed. If their was a updated store I think it would last. Why would the city want the people in Cudahy to spend in other cities? The board needs to think...

Also, this "strip mall" has a Family Dollar store, a post office, a nice, great value, inexpensive family restaurant called Castillos and lastly a brand spanking new Salvation Army thrift store. Haven't been able to visit there yet. But looking...
